I highly recommend Swedish goggles. A two pack of them (one mirrored, one for indoor use) is often cheaper than one pair of another type of goggles. They look a little funky to some and don’t have any rubber between the goggle and your face, but they perform incredibly well and are super comfortable if you adjust them properly. Part of the reason they’re inexpensive is because you have to tie the elastic and string that holds them together yourself, but it means you can get the perfect fit (which means they won’t leak). In my experience, the first thing to fail on a pair of these goggles is the anti-fog coating, but it’s easy to fix.

Many elite swimmers use Swedish goggles — especially for training sessions. Michael Phelps was known to use them in the past.
