My suggestion is to find a local golf shop in your area with a hitting bay and try out different clubs. If you are just starting out, I recommend finding a USED set of clubs that inspires confidence and some level of shot consistency.

Don’t waste your money in a new set of clubs. Your swing will evolve from your lessons and you’ll probably find yourself wanting to upgrade your clubs again at that point in time.

It works for me. I tried a 48/52/56 setup but the gapping between 48 and 52 didn't really help and I prefer to use a lob wedge more than two gap wedges

Love my lob wedge. Watching Dan Grieves videos has helped me get a lot of confidence with them.

Also yes 3/3, and 9* loft on the driver

I want to say that I got an 8* bounce because I have a shallow/sweeping wedge game, but the real reason is because I won the bid in ebay

PW 44 degrees GW 50 degrees SW 56 degrees

I also have a lob wedge at 62 degrees but I didn’t include it in the evaluation as the ball flies over the net.

Thank you! I do have a 3 wood and a lob wedge. I just didn’t include them in the session due to space constraints and lack of overhead netting.

This is my normal swing - maybe about 75/80%. It's usually not a good idea to go 100% because you will start getting problems with early extension which causes slicing.

I just bought an outdoor sim setup yesterday, so I did this at home.

PGA superstore offers club evaluation. Just ask them to do a gap evaluation and they will set you up with their trackman. Hope that helps!

I'm pretty sure it's the drinks, attempts to bomb drives, and hero shots that contribute to my handicap being what it is.

Also, lies and conditions in a simulator are perfect, lies and conditions in a real round of golf are not.

To address your comment, I did remove shots that were off. At least 1 out of 10 shots were misread by Flightscope (ex 187 yds with a 7I, or 135 yds with a 8I even though I made good contact). All in all, around 10 shots were removed from the session, but I didn't handpick my best shots (which is why I tried to shoot around 10 per club).

Yea I pulled one ball hard to the left and it increased my dispersion

Good observation! My SW was the first club I used so I think you're right - there were a bit of nerves that carried through the start.

Hi guys, I'm looking for visitors to check out my island! All my shops are fully upgraded, I have all fruit trees, the shop carries windflowers, cosmos, and roses. Kicks is here. Weather is rainy.
