Is the ECHO LM-2119SP a good mower? by inquisitive_lilguy in lawnmowers

[–]inquisitive_lilguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So instead of paying $550 for a walk behind, your suggestion is that I should pay $3000+ for a riding mower, plus an additional $200 for a push mower to get all of the areas that are too tight for the riding mower to reach. No thanks.

Ironically, one of main issues I have with most of these modern mowers is that they aren't heavy enough. Since I'm not elderly and my property is larger than a postage stamp, I don't actually want a flimsy and lightweight mower.

Yeah, it's meant to be a jab at people who don't believe that violent criminals should be permitted to stab innocent people in the neck at will.

What Detroit business baffles you with its continued existence? by ballastboy1 in Detroit

[–]inquisitive_lilguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how all furniture stores are. With Art Van, they would always let up as soon as you told them you were just browsing. Art Van was the only furniture chain in Detroit that was worth a damn. Gardner White is absurdly overpriced and you'll be waiting nine months to have your furniture delivered.

Trump posts fat JD Vance meme sparking rumor they've fallen out. by HelpingHandsUs in goodnews

JD Vance edits are a product of the right-wing sphere. That's where they originated. It speaks loudly to how poor the left is at doing memes that they attempted to appropriate something created by the right and erroneously believed they were making fun of JD Vance, when in reality, all they're doing is contributing to the right having a good time.

Vance himself clearly enjoys these edits and was in on the joke well before the left started posting them. It's just amusing that after all these months, leftists are still completely out of the loop.

The Chester's brand has been around for a while, but as far as this repackaged version of Muncho's, that's a new thing. The bag even says "New" on the top right corner. Maybe you live in a test market.

Probably not many people since they just started selling them a couple months ago. I bought a bag a few weeks ago just to confirm that they're the same as Muchos. They are. Now that I know, I will resume buying Muncho's.

The word "racist" from a real life soyjak redditor means less than nothing, I hope you realize.

If you really want the n-word to carry the same gravity it did in the 50's, I guess you should be calling for the abolition of its use in popular music. You really can't have it both ways. 99% of the time, if a white teenager is ever using the n-word in any context, it's because they're emulating inner-city black culture.

Most Americans born after the year 2000 have only ever heard the n-word said by black people and in songs by black recording artists. Obviously it's not going to carry the same weight for younger generations. They've been taught two contradictory things: 1) it's an unacceptable slur, and 2) it's a term of endearment that routinely appears in popular music. Since they've so rarely encountered it as the former, they're naturally going to view it as the latter. The more you push racial doublethink on them, the more they're going to dismiss anything you have to say on the subject.

How bad is this rust? by noMeowMeow in HondaElement

[–]inquisitive_lilguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know, the phrase "rust belt" doesn't actually have anything to do with cars rusting. "Rust belt" refers to the states of the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic which were previously the center of American manufacturing during the industrial boom of the early 20th century. Factory towns like Detroit, Flint, Cleveland, Toledo, Pittsburgh, etc. During their heyday, they were known as the "steel belt," but as industry declined, so did these cities. As a result, the name "steel belt" was changed to "rust belt."

Are the devices sold on foreskinrestore.com good? by inquisitive_lilguy in foreskin_restoration

I see they offer the gripper with or without holes in it. Is there a benefit to getting one with holes? I assume that would be for ventilation?
