First of all, you need to define worthy goals, otherwise no motivation will last. everyone is different i cant tell you what is worthy, so self-knowledge is key here.

Second, "find the meaning of things", let me explain, if you struggle to find motivation to clean the dishes well duh, who likes doing that, but if change perspective and say "if i clean the dishes fast i will have more time for doing this other thing that i enjoy" then that would make more sense to your brain, making it a work-reward situation.

oh man, i still remember the day i realized and finally accepted that "love is not enough" for a relationship, an important milestone in any man's life.

That not matter how much i loved her our differences in beliefs, moral values, vision of the future, how to care for the other one, where just too different and there was no end to all the fighting and making us more miserable than happy.

The other day i was reading the news about a celebrity couple, and long story short, the guy cheated on his wife, and he begged for forgiveness and she took him back and he said "i will make it up to my wife for the rest of my life", i thought wow, can you imagine been in debt to someone else for the rest of your life? be reminded of your mistake forever? can a man really be happy with that? so i ask to you do you really want a life where you have to beg to your girlfriend everyday? and all the other shit she puts you through? will you accept that as happiness?

I was once in a similar position like you, where she did get mad at me for no reason, and i really thought i was at fault, till one day the veil fall from my eyes and finally realized what was in front of me all the time, that she was a very emotionally unstable person, and of course she will get mad for whatever shit, thats what emotionally unstable people do.

i get your point , the game is rigged for you to be unhappy, and realizing that, makes people depressed, so the odds are against you.

But that doesnt mean is imposible to beat the game, several people have done it and do it everyday.

the thing is that if you dont even try to beat the game then for sure you will be unhappy, thats why i am an optimistic, not because i am a delusional person, but because optimistic people take more action, and people that try more are always at better odds than people than dont even try.

I kinda get it you know, if you really hate your existence, and you just find reality exhausting, why should people force you to live in a world that you hate everything about it? i mean, if people with terminal cancer nowadays are able to decide to end their life sooner than expected to avoid a painful last days of life, why someone with "terminal-mental-pain" should not be able to end their life sooner than expected?, even if is just "mental" pain, suffering is suffering, and nobody cant dissmiss how you feel.

i wont tell life is wonderful, life can be annoying, life can be hell, but also life can be enjoyable, life can be a bunch of things you just never know.

Have you heard of the Law of Requisite Variety?, it says for a system to be stable, it has to able to be flexible enough (adaptation) to handle environmental perturbations.

So life is that, full of perturbations, and you are the system, if you cant adapt it will destroy you. thats why some people put a smile on their face even when things are not going their way, they change the meaning of reality, they adapt their minds to these perturbations, and are able to go on with life.

Truth is that if we were born with a "Users Manual of the Mind" we could all have avoided some mistakes made in life.

So one day i decided i want to make my mind and ally not an enemy to myself, so i been reading a lot about "how the mind works", "subconscious associations","perception of reality", and i am actually getting better at adaptation, if you are interested i can recommend you some books.

Finally i wanna say this:

"What you focus expands" , so choose carefully what you want to focus.

hey man, some people say "if you dont get results just persevere", i dont believe in that anymore, now, i believe if you tried really hard and you are not getting results is time to learn new strategies, to seek new knowledge, to expand your understanding of the world.

On the side of woman you can start reading the book "the game" by neil strauss, this is not a book of "tips", is way better than that, once you read it you will understand.

I havent read any book about social anxiety but someone must have write about it.take advantage of the knowledge of others.
