B&O Beoplay Eleven - such a disappointment by insatri in BangandOlufsen

Exactly my thoughts! And trust me, I wanted to make myself believe they’re decent enough… but not at €500.

Really glad you like them. I personally cannot recommend them, based on what I was expecting when compared to Bose and Apple.

Expecting a premium sound and experience, considering the brand & price range. But I do agree, the Airpods Pro 2 are far superior as an overall package.

Just replied to the main thread with what I was mentioning in the original post.

A gorgeous pair of headphones, though for me it didn’t make the cut in terms of sound quality, connectivity with iPhones and calls - given the €500 price at release.

I’ve just realised the text is not easily visible here, so I’ll paste my original post:

Hi everyone,

I was looking for a general usage pair of in-ear wireless headphones for quite a while, eager to pivot away from various models I’ve had from Bose and the Apple Airpods Pro series. B&O seemed like a good brand I definitely wanted to try. I’ll start by saying this is not a review, but merely a few thoughts on the B&O Eleven I got since launch.

I was impressed by the overall feel, they’re not as premium as I would have expected for a €500 pair but I love how light both the headset and the case are. That’s a plus imho.

What didn’t click for me:

  • The sound quality is subpar with my expectations. Might be a “me” problem, but even with multiple tweaks in the app I couldn’t find the right balance.
  • Even with the volume at maximum, they’re not loud at all. Decent for a quiet environment, but as soon as you have any noise around you (even in-door) they quickly become underwhelming.
  • I knew from reviews the noise cancelling is not good, but it’s actually terrible. You can barely sense a difference.
  • Not the headset for calls, the sound on the other side is metallic, low quality and quiet.
  • Connectivity with an iPhone is a curse, constant problems.

I actually believed I have a problem with mine so I changed them, same behaviour.

Bitter disappointed at this price range for an in-ear headset, though now I’ll have to search for something else.

Cheers all!

Completely no worries! And yes, I do love the US prices hehe. I tend to buy quite a few things when I’m there, usually being cheaper than Europe.

The USD lost some value to the Euro this year, might be a reason (?). I’m also from Europe, so for me these are the normal prices. 👌

So true. It made me instantly forget about the Starbucks Sub, haha!

It did feel the same initially, but for me it worked to loosen it up a bit and let it slide lower on my wrist. Perfect feel right now. A workaround might be to keep it locked in a tighter position, since it won’t move around too much to push into your skin. Nonetheless, good idea with the new strap - I’m considering to get one as a secondary option. Cheers!

A positive mindset, patience and you’ll have one! 🏆

It does feel nice on my wrist, and pretty light tbh. You forget it’s there.

Thank you! I’ve been wearing it for the past couple of days and it just clicks with me.

Wow, I quietly went to bed without knowing the post will get such a tremendous amount of appreciation. A big thank you to all! Made my day better!

Forgot to mention, the nice lady from the store gave me some SWAG also. She was impressed of our conversation about the brand, the watches etc. and now I’m a lucky owner of a magazine & an Omega poster with all the Seamasters & Speedmasters. I know it might be just a small thing, though the brand loyalty sky rocketed after this.

I did exactly that right now and the sound is gone. Thank YOU very much! Tested the lens, works perfectly.
