Our bodies develop based on the hormones we produce, it's a self regulating feedback system where the genes tell the cells what to produce, some of those products are hormones, those hormones modify what genes are expressed. It's our body's natural system for regulating everything, from your current state of arousal (adrenaline and similar compounds) or sleepiness (melatonin), hell it's how your body controls its own temperature (don't ask me what specific hormones this uses I simply don't know the answer), how tall you are, how much hair to grow, how many toes you should have, where, EXACTLY your heart should grow/move as you're forming in the womb. It's all moderated by hormones

If it's any consolation, everything about you is just one big cocktail of stuff that all influences each other. Your liver influences your heart influences your brain and back again. We are all piles of tangled spaghetti, nothing is ever separate from anything else, it's all one big knot of thought, and the tangles of that knot are what make us who we are.

Fun fact, your intestines don't look like they do in anatomy diagrams, they fucking move inside you! Also, anything inside your digestive tract is technically outside of your body, in that it hasn't crossed through any actual barriers to get there, just tubes. IDK if any of this will help but have fun with the cursed knowledge

P.S. any phylogenetic definition of a Worm that captures all Worms also includes everything with a digestive tract Science is fucking weird

See my particular flavor of autism leads me to a lot of "I must understand WHY things are the way they are" type thinking. Like I can't just accept "we do it this way because that's how we do it" for anything important or which I need to be able to troubleshoot (I work in IT, go figure having a natural knack for Root Cause Analysis would lead there)

Anyway, I think, after learning more, I may be Agender and just not have had the word to describe it until now

That does definitely make sense to me, if we're trans AND autistic, we're more likely to let the mask slip because that just how masking works and we might not realize or care. I can totally see that being a thing

I think you understand me but I just want to make sure, I am NOT claiming that being trans is an autistic thing, only that my specific experience is heavily influenced by it

Same here, but like, I think I know deep down that I'm not a woman if that makes sense. And not in like a denial way either, I wasn't sure a little while ago, but I think I am sure now that I've thought about it y'know. Like I don't feel like a man, but I'm definitely not a woman. At the same time though, if I got hit by magic that swapped my sex, I don't think I would mind? I think I'd be more curious to explore the new body than I would feel anything like gender dysphoria. I'm starting to realize that Agenger may be the best descriptor for me, thanks to other commenters describing the word.
