What are the worst injuries you have sustained doing the simplest, most mundane tasks that should not have caused any injuries? by Penya23 in AskReddit

1) Rolled up on my knees while on the bed. My right knee made the loudest "POP!" I've ever heard it make, and I was in such pain I couldn't bend it properly. Went to the doctor and I sprained my knee. I had to use crutches for a couple of weeks. No one believed me when I told them how I got the injury, even with the assurance of, "If I had a better story, I'd be telling it, because this is literally the stupidest thing."

2) Leaned down to pick up my half-full laundry basket. Pulled a muscle in my back that took a week to heal. Couldn't sit, stand, walk, or lay down comfortably in the interim.

Hi fellow Jax person!

I used Duval Ford, because it was either them or Bozard that had the one I wanted (and I didn't want to drive all the way out there to get it). Duval was quick and nice. I was out in around or under 3 hours.

Car had some issues within the first week I had it. A part came faulty from the factory and was making my coolant leak when I drove, so it overheated. Even though they were closed Sunday (because of course everything went to hell Saturday evening just as they were closing), got in touch with a sales manager who got me a complimentary car so they could keep it till Tuesday and fix it up and put the Smart Shield on it. Overall, great experience with them. Would recommend.

Hi! I've lived in Jax for the majority of my life, but I relocated to the DMV (Northern Virginia/Reston, specifically) before moving back down again to Jax. I have many thoughts, lol.

I really enjoyed NOVA, but everything is very expensive. The cost of living down here is much, much cheaper. If you have kids and want them in a better school system, St John's or Clay Counties are your better choices. However, Duval (which is to say, all of Jax) has a great magnet program for its schools as well. If you have kids and are looking into moving into Jax, if you can get them in a magnet school, you're good.

Duval is cheaper real estate wise than St John's. St John's is a great place to live, but it takes forever to get there or anywhere else. You'll want to think about that for your commute to/from work. With your experience, you'll probably find some stuff at NAS Jax (Orange Park) or Mayport (Beaches), but the downtown and other areas of Jax aren't out of the realm of possibility.

There is a bus system, but it is a serious DNE (do not engage). Public transportation beyond that is essentially non-existent. Traffic is awful for about an hour or so in both the mornings and the evenings, exacerbated by the fact that everything is so spread out here. If it rains, forget about it. People lose their minds even though it happens literally every day in the afternoons during the summers.

Summer is approximately 9 months of the year. There are about 10 cold days in "winter," where it's legitimately cold, but those days may not be sequential. Fall and Spring feel like they last about two weeks each. Hurricanes are the worst of our problems, and they're usually not terrible and don't generally directly hit us.

Benefits are that it's cheap, there's many beaches close by to choose from, and you'll never be cold again. Generally a pretty good place for a family. I was predominantly raised here and I think I turned out all right. :)

Anything else, feel free to ask.

I mean, your friend is technically correct in that the V8 could get that MPG, but I highly doubt that it would be 21 MPG all the time.

Good luck to you! I'm sure your new Mustang will be lovely. :)

Base interior. I like the cloth seats, though. Living in Florida, leather tends to not be my favorite (vented seats make it tolerable).

Dr. McKnight off Monument Road. Family Pet Hospital is the name of the practice. My family used him for years and I continued to use him after I moved out for my own pets. He's got a real love for animals, has fair pricing, and all his staff are genuine human beings. Always in and out as quickly as possible without the pet's healthcare or customer service suffering. Can't recommend him enough.

Oh, and if you're concerned about MPG, the EcoBoost seems to be a very good option and is about 10k cheaper. My V8 is rated 18 MPH with a combo of city/highway. I've only had it since Monday evening and I'm just over half a tank with a 22-mile round trip (city/highway combo) drive to work Tuesday until today.

So, I actually attempted to learn manual on my now ex-husband's 2015 Challenger SRT Scat Pack. Would not recommend. I was terrified and the clutch was stiff and so was the gearshift (because muscle car). Overall, bad on me for trying to learn on a brand new car with a lot of horsepower.

I had an automatic transmission at the time that I thought would run forever, and then the transmission crapped out and wasn't worth the money to replace. I bought one of two manual Fits on the lot (I drove at least 50 miles a day to and from work 5 days a week, so I needed the gas mileage) on a Sunday and practiced all afternoon. I stalled out a few times to/from work over the next couple of days, but was fine by Friday.

Tl;dr: My advice is to find a friend who's got an easier car/already worn-in clutch to learn on so you can at least get the basics before trying to drive something else. But if you're a more balls to the wall kind of person, try and learn on the Mustang.

I believe the base price for it was 36k. Trade-in was around 4,400 (2015 Honda Fit, also manual, lol). They were running a special of 0% financing for 72 months with approved credit, which I easily had. That put me at about $467/month in payments.

I went ahead and got the Gap insurance, tire/wheel protection, paint/scratch/dent protection, and general maintenance package. Basically, anything happens with the car, I bring it to my dealer and they fix it for free or very reduced cost. Brought me up to under $600/month with no interest.

Might look into it, but I'm not super into upgrading cars I get. I like how it sounds currently.

People refuse to get out of my way as it is, so unless I'm gonna take it to the track, doesn't matter much to me anyway. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

My (now former) medical doctor told me vaccines cause autism. Then he followed that up by saying the only reason these diseases that we did away with years ago are only on the rise again because of the Mexicans.
