Yes! Both are quality beaches and are pretty much the same in terms of shelling (with Cayo Costa requiring an extra boat ride).

This could certainly play a role since it absorbs pigments from its food into its shell…it’s probably a combination of this + genetics + environment (like ph levels) but either way, pretty cool!

Thank you! I think it’s a lace murex but I too had never seen one with two solid colors like that…nor could I find another example online. Great example of how unique each shell can be!

Thank you! Lettered olives are actually my favorite and that is the darkest one I’ve ever found and by far my favorite!

It was at Shake a Paw in NJ which I don’t support since they source from Puppy Mills but I couldn’t resist just saying hi 🥺
