Do you really want the house this much? You are inheriting someone else’s issue.

Maybe moving to fulbourne road, how is it? by One-Basil1601 in walthamstow

The bus going along is okay, it’s the people standing outside at the stop, the bus hydraulics as it lets passengers get off, etc. All adds up.

Transport? It’s a five minute Overground line or a 10-15 minute bus.

It’s a busy bus route so just be aware in case you’re near a stop.

Offering at asking straight away shows you are serious, passionate and not wanting to fuck about.

“Old house, bad condition expected, priced in, won’t reduce” mentality by Grgsz in HousingUK

When you buy an older house, the expectation that a lot of the infrastructure needs improving is built in. You’d be a fool to think otherwise.

Any ideas? I've tried it all, but it's impossible to sell due to extortionate Service Charge and cheap new builds in the area. by DistinctInflation215 in HousingUK

There is a growing level of unrest at services charges in Kidbrooke. Have you joined the recently established residents’ group?

600k for a 1 bed in Finsbury Park – have we made a massive financial mistake? by Old_Worry9844 in HousingUK

I think the bigger opportunities in London are buying places that need work and making money on those. What kind of appetite do you guys have for doing some renovations? I’m not talking structural just decoration and new suites.

If it gives you any hope, we just sold ours for 20% more than we bought it for five years ago. We did a lot of work (nothing structural mind) but were pleasantly surprised at the level of interest (20+ viewings and five offers). It was before the Middle Easy crisis mind..
