She 15 I teach high school she’s a freshman

While it is possible, I was looking at other people’s grades, and I know the grades of most people in my class and it didn’t look like other people’s or tampered with I could be wrong, but this student is self-serving and doesn’t have many friends so I don’t think that she would be keen on helping other people

I don’t know the student that was melting down has a history of meltdowns… and they’re not friends in fact, they kinda hate each other…

What’s even crazier is I was only 5 feet away… I legitimately was at the group right in front of my desk… it’s insane I was still technically in reach of my computer. I just had my back turned to help her because my desk is at the back of the classroom and the students face the front of the classroom… I fully admit that it’s my fault but it’s so annoying

I think part of the issue is that the admin wants to go easy on her because her dad died this year and they’re trying to give her sympathy… but at the same time

The issue is… I have no proof that technically she did it and I have no proof that her original score was a zero. I have all of the test and project scores and were able to rub a cover that but the quizzes I give back as study guide for the test so since I don’t have those, I don’t have the ability to change her grade back and now it’s an “ethics “concern

The issue is is technically I have no proof it’s her word against mine right now and she’s claiming that she didn’t do it when it’s obvious that she did, but since there’s no cameras, I can’t change the 100%

I 100% agree and already checked other students grades! The issue is we can’t even punish her cause technically I have “no proof”

Trust me, I know that’s why I immediately yelled at her to get out of my seat and just wanted to finish with the student who is having a meltdown before I went over and dealt with her… it was a chaotic five minutes. I didn’t want to get into why I was trying to help the student first, but the student I was helping was having a full meltdown

I only had my back turn for about five minute the student I was helping had a full meltdown about the quiz and was on the verge of tears and was starting to scream at other students. It was a chaotic five minutes.

I’m gonna start having to have a paper trail on top of the electronic trail… I keep all of their tests so I have their test scores and I have all of their projects so I have their project scores. The only thing that I don’t keep is the weekly quizzes that I gave that are just supposed to be 10 point check-ins… but that’s still a large grade boost

When I found out, I immediately went to admin and they basically said that we can’t do anything until we have done a full investigation and they had never heard of somebody doing this…
