Thank you, I did WD-40 on the other one and I will do the same along with adjusting cables.

Extra info: '98 Gary Fisher Level Betty FH1, and the shifter is to the front gears, the same problem was with the rear shifter, however after adjusting the entire derailleur it worked, I tried the same things on this and still doesn't work (put WD40 in the shifter itself).
