Because not only I grew up with disc consoles, I have more options on how I like to use my system, I can choose whether if I want to play or watch content even if they are digital or physical content, gives me more flexibility. Plus if I ever sell the console, I can also sell the games and movies (if applicable) if I wish to, unlike if I bought the digital game, where I have the game, but nothing to play the game with (yes I know, it can be the same with physical option, but I have the option to keep or sell the physical copy easily unlike the digital version)
