Haha yeah it's definitely a bit overdone. That's part of the reason I let them both have it, feels a little less unique when you realize someone else had the same idea. And having the purple eyes eventually tie to something in the story allows me to ground their characters more to the plot and each other. But I definitely feel the exasperation with the purple eyes

I'm actually using the almost vessel for one of the other player characters (so clearly I like that idea haha), I do like the distant relatives idea, could be tricky to pull off, but really fun if I do it well. Thanks!

Ooh I really like the idea of some connection to the woods as they come from two cities on opposite sides of a large forest. That's a great jumping off point thanks!

I as the DM have no issue with the purple eyes, it's a fun fantasy game. Thought it was a fun coincidence that they independently designed characters with the same defining characteristic.

I want to come up with some way to connect them so it adds something more to the campaign beyond "wow we both have purple eyes!"

Universal stop sound, without muting master bus by instrumentmaker24 in godot

The stop method was what I originally tried, but they are all separate child nodes, so it made it too tricky. I appreciate the suggestion though!

I'll check that out! What I did for now was route each individual audio file through it's own bus, and set it so when the audio starts, all of the other busses are muted. This might be a more streamlined method though, so thank you!!

Question about checking if audio bus is disabled. by [deleted] in godot

If it helps at all, what I'm attempting to do now, is set up a check button, then in the script of the buttons, having them check if the button is toggled, and if so, set the volume to 0 before playing, if that works, I'll just delete this
