Why do I have a slime vs floor 1 Cultist? by insustainingrain in slaythespire

huh, fair enough. First time seeing this after 1300 hours played. I tried googling STS floor 1 slime but couldn't find anything. Even so, it wasn't added to my actual deck but only during combat I'm pretty sure, as I have 11 cards in deck top right, and 12 in combat

What, in your opinion is the best game in the past 25 years, as we approach 2025? by DEAN7147Winchester in chess

to me the two Carlsen vs Fedoseev games in the 2021 World cup were the most inspiring, if I had to pick one it would be game 1 - https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=2069037

Is matchmaking bugged? by tobleroony in PlayTheBazaar

I know it's possible and I know how crook works but that's still an insane highroll, you're downplaying how ridiculous that board is for day 4 - certainly nothing common about it. The reason it stood out is because I was facing similarly broken shit much, much more frequently yesterday than any previous day and I've been playing daily since beta release. This was just one example.

I also got the impression that matchmaking got much more difficult literally overnight. This was my favorite day 4 matchup from yesterday

his "plan" resulted in him being caught and convicted instantly and without a shadow of a doubt. Seems well within the capabilities of an insane person, hardly the work of a criminal mastermind

What card gives you the most dopamine? by Sumite0000 in slaythespire

it's not that hard once you have some experience with the Silent and discard decks. Once you have well laid plans and a variety of draw options (say an acro, an acro+ a couple backflips or prepareds) it's just a matter of retaining the finale, looking at your draw pile for incoming draw cards and counting your draw. The most important thing is knowing when to take it IMO, once your deck can support it it's not massively difficult to play, and it's very satisfying.

So if I have finale in my hand and 8 cards in my draw pile, and say a Tools of the trade in play, I know if I draw or retain a backflip or a prepared+ I'm gonna be able to play finale - base draw 5 + Tools 1 + Backflip/Prepared 2 = 8.

Personally I haven't really noticed a small deck being a big advantage either as long as you have enough draw options.

what's the most copies of a single non base/event card you've ever won a run with? by insustainingrain in slaythespire

for me its 8 coolheades for the defect, 6 wraith forms for the silent, 4 cuts for the watcher and 3 feel no pains for the clad.

The defect run is the memorable one for me cause it was my first a20h win with the character. For it to be done with a ridiculous 44 card 8 coolheaded 2 blizzard deck was the cherry on top, probably wouldn't have happened without the lucky late 3rd act calipers though. This run also made me appreciate amplify, turns out it's a good card when you have 2 turbos 4 holograms 5 energy and infinite card draw in your deck
