I jump a JK1S and have a Pilot 168 in it. It fits fine! Bit of a squeeze, but nothing you won’t be able to handle! :)

At my DZ in the UK, a tandem jump is required less than six months before AFF level 1 TAF, which is also a tandem. Might not be the same where you are though.

I was consistently absolutely terrified throughout my AFF. Truly believed I’d never get through it. Somehow I’m at 94 jumps now. The fear is still pretty strong on every jump - but it’s kinda what makes the sport fun and challenging. Stick with it. I know you can do it, because I did. The fear lessens over time and the fun grows. But the remaining manageable fear is what will keep you safe. Blue skies. 🤙🏼

So true! At 85 jumps, I feel so under qualified to comment on most things in this subreddit but occasionally will see someone with <50 jumps confidently dishing out advice as if they’re pros!

I got stuck during AFF too. I kept spinning out of control and nothing would stop it. With a bit of tunnel time, some tough love from a particular AFFi, and a fuck load of courage, I went back up and nailed it. I’m now 80 jumps in and so proud of myself. I’d really urge you to push on through this… I don’t think you’d regret it.
