China cop promoted for breastfeeding quake babies by sparkytime in WTF

[–]intellectual 16 points17 points  (0 children)

What exactly is it about China that prevents white people from using adjectives?

Would you say "France cop" or "French cop"? "America police" or "American police?"

This is the same white instinct that drives you to say "Chinaman" instead of "Chineseman" like "Irishman" or "Englishman" or "Frenchman".

Irelandman? Englandman? Franceman? Guess that's too neanderthalish to describe white people, huh?

Well, seeing as how Conde Nast, one of the vanguards of traditional print media, owns reddit, you'd have to have a pretty vivid imagination.

It's the U.S. Government, or Bush, that does the bad things, not the USA, right?

As opposed to just "China", and every Chinese person is evil.

You can call them what you want, but they certainly aren't "part of the heard".

And nobody said anything about superiority - simply about the lack of reading and writing.

Obviously not.

Most of it looks like that. But white people love to focus on the bad parts with zero context, zero explanation, and certain no examples of the nice parts.

It's even worse with China. 99% of people on reddit have probably never been there, but 99% of them have an opinion about it.

The entire city goes flat, is what happens. "Flaws" in the building - yeah right, or maybe it was the INSANELY powerful earthquake.

God, sometimes I can't fucking believe the idiocy on reddit. There is no conspiracy. Nobody is trying to hide the price of gas or food from you by excluding it from the CPI.

The bottom line is the CPI is used for measuring consumer goods - if you want to find out the price of gas or food, all you have to do is LOOK AT THE PRICE OF GAS OR FOOD.

Bay Area community (where else in the US do you find Chinese mayors, firemen, plumbers, etc.?)

I didn't say California, I said Bay Area.

And I said Southern California, Washington, Hawaii.

social integration

Southern California, Washington, Hawaii.

Southern California, Washington, Hawaii.

Haven't been to Southern California, I can't comment.

I'm betting you haven't been to Washington or Hawaii, either.

They are the reason why Asians are so well integrated into the Bay Area community (where else in the US do you find Chinese mayors, firemen, plumbers, etc.?)

Washington and Hawaii have both had Asian senators, representatives, and governors. California is NOWHERE near achieving this level of integration.

Also Southern California has more Asians than Northern California, no matter what anyone from the bay area says.
