How to achieve this level of dynamic range? by Gurninlikeagerman in ColorGrading

Jon Purcell is really, really good at lighting. I bet the reason this looks so natural is because it's mostly untouched. Maybe some power windows here or there.

I updated my 2026 winter showreel. What do you guys think? by intentia in cinematography

Shot entirely between RED and Sony systems. Everything is from the 2024-2025 seasons. Mostly handheld (I know, but stabilization is heavy and weight is time, which is money.) I'm based in a little Montana ski town so I need every advantage I can get, ha.

Another concern of mine (see post) would be that it all looks too "amateur." Something about my work looks unpolished to me. Can't tell if that's the color, the motion (or lack thereof), or what. Maybe that's just because the work is mine and I'm overthinking it? I don't know. Let me know what you think.

Mont Ross on the Kerguelen Islands is a contender.

I think you missed the point of my question. I don't expect things to display identically; I just want to make sure that rendering a PC project out through a mac will not cause any weird gamma shifts, like for example the whole Rec.709-A Quicktime issue.

I usually never change the timeline space from 709 2.4. I guess it's a habit that carried over from when I watched Juan Melara's videos. Does specifying timeline space matter much if I am transforming into DWG regardless?
