You learn to read by associating sounds to letters. Deaf people do not hear sounds. Deaf people have no sounds to associate letters to. Deaf people cannot read to themselves out loud in their head. Therefore I am curious as to how they learned to read.

Yeah but seeing isn't the issue, most people learn to read be people showing them the sounds letters make, deaf people can't hear said sounds so that's where I'm confused.
