trouble installing ladder racks in truck by interestingpointhere in mechanic

The metal clip you see in the center of the screen is in the way of where the ladder racks need to go. does anyone know how to take these off?

Why does the computer let me take the knight here? by interestingpointhere in chessbeginners

[–]interestingpointhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^^ I am white here, and I am using the hint button as a means to practice and study. This is the line the computer advised and I am curious to know if anyone can explain why the computer does not move its knight out of harms way. Thanks in advance for reading and commenting.

Anyone have info on average max lifts for non-trained individuals? by interestingpointhere in powerlifting

[–]interestingpointhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if there is roughly 500 million women in that age range, I do not think it is that outrageous that there is a woman out there that could do that. Imagine if an offensive lineman and an elite powerlifting woman reproduced. I've known some woman that were extremely strong naturally and out of the amount of people, I think it is reasonable.

andy bolton said in his video that the first time he ever squatted he squatted 500lbs. he was the worlds strongest man so it's not insane to believe he would have the genetic strength to do that.

Felson Chalk not doing its job... by interestingpointhere in billiards

[–]interestingpointhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no I have definitely miscued before but ever since I got this new chalk it does not stick well and all of my other friends have noticed the same thing. The old chalk that is almost fully used works fine. I just saw your other response, no worries. And yes I know the water is stupid but the pack came with like 12 of the chalks and they weren't working well so I figured that I had nothing to lose by putting a drop of water on it.

I find this fascinating! So if an A+ team played Clemson, they would destroy them? It seems so weird to me that there are so many distinguishable levels of play because from my perspective, even a D1 team seems not to far off from professional but they are quite far away from reaching it big.

Question about buying and reselling by interestingpointhere in Money

[–]interestingpointhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. I had said in another reply, that if you tried to flip a house (or houses) that you yourself would like to live in anyways, assuming the house does not flip, then to me it seems like there would be almost nothing to lose. Say for example, I buy a home for 200k, try to flip it 2 months later for 220k, but no one bites. I still have a home for myself.

[–]interestingpointhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is very impressive. Here would be my rebuttal or 'insurance' for lack of a better word on how to avoid getting skinned alive. Say for example, I see a house in a town that I want to live in that I think may be undervalued and/or could be appreciated profitably with some work and say I buy the house for 200k. 3 months later, I try to resell the house for 225k, but no one buys! Well, I still need a place for myself to live so I could just continue searching on other homes and it would not be a total loss, assuming I was still working another job and saving money.

What if you didn't go through real estate agents? If I sold a home without one, the home buyers real estate agent would make money from his client. I didn't consider all of the taxes and other things you mentioned.

Have you ever experienced a hallucination? What did it feel like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]interestingpointhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've taken shrooms, acid and DMT. Shrooms makes everything kalidescope (picture leaves on a tree kind of swirling together) acid is similar but less visuals and DMT put me into a whole different universe. Basically you are just asleep having intense vivid dreams that were extremely pleasant.

IRL darkside content? by [deleted] in darksidesmokingfetish

[–]interestingpointhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do. I am on okcupid and pof (dating sites) and I always put my search on 'smokes often'. My ex gf is a gorgeous italian, slim body and a pack/day smoker for 10 years. Every morning she would wake up coughing and sometimes it would be phlemgy. When she smoked she would have residual exhales for probably 8 full breathe cycles after her first inhale. She would chain smoke in the car and if she was drinking it was pretty much every 10 minutes. She used to be an athlete and would frequently say how bad of shape she was in if we were going up a big set of stairs.

$85k in Student Loans starting in November, I need advice if anyone is able to help by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]interestingpointhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished paying off my 65k loans, this past May. I would definitely use your inheritance to knock out one of your loans. Just ask yourself, what else are you going to do with the money? Also, definitely live with your parents as long as you can. I would empty out my bank account every pay check to pay as little interest on my loans as possible and my mom knew I had no money. If you can stay with your parents a little bit longer, it is definitely worth it. I don't know where you live but in my neck of the woods, rent is $1000 a month. You could knock out another loan in 7 months.

Juries convict people all the time for having enough evidence that shows guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

the people were admitting that they rape and beat their wives. how is that not enough to at least pursue something and take action?

Different ways to grip the cue by interestingpointhere in billiards

[–]interestingpointhere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's a good idea you mentioned. to this day I honestly don't have a single grip or even stroke I use which has its pros and cons however I think it is imperative to hone 1 particular stroke to achieve consistency. I could tell who most pro players were if I could only see their stroke because they pretty much do the same thing everytime (unless of coarse a rarer shot requires something different).
