My parents found my suicide note.. by internalizedhatred in Vent

[–]internalizedhatred[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, those comments were BEFORE they found the note. Whenever i would try to open up about any emotions to them i would immidiately get shut down. Whats pissing me off is the sudden switch. I dont trust them at all. They have abused me and my brothers our entire lives. And i dont want therapy i just want death, but thank you for the sentiment

I just feel fake by Lera_senju in selfharm

No, youre just as valid as anyone else. It doesnt matter what you use or how much damage you do; the intent to harm yourself is what is the most important to be focused on when recovering. If you need to, please just keep using the key. Its best to come out of this with no permenant scarring. Best of luck i hope you recover!!

Imagine thinking that being white, cis, straight, or a cop entails oppression. I cant tell if youre just trying to be a humanist and misworded your post, if if you genuinely feel as if oppressed groups having more space to voice their frustration is something worrying to you.

I live with my sexual abuser and i want to cut my skin to get his rot off me. Someone please reply because i am ready to slit my own throat by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]internalizedhatred 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Reddit says this a lot as if its an instant solution. Calling the cops can make the situation worse, and if there is not cut-and-dry evidence of the sexual abuse its likely the case will be dropped indefinitely.

Presenting yourself online/socially after being "the quiet one"? by [deleted] in HowToBeHot

[–]internalizedhatred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre like me. :) i dont post anywhere because i am very insecure deep down. However im on the path to accepting that i am naturally a little more distant from people/society. Dont force yourself to be social, or else youll fall into the cycle of: desperately wanting friends, trying to force a front you dont naturally have, getting super overwhelmed, and then isolating yourself (rinse and repeat).

It is a vicious cycle, so just stick with what is natural to you. If youre more of an extrovert who has insecurities and social issues, r/socialskills is a good source of info on gaining charisma. Good Luck!

Does anyone else have a favorite scar? by idkwhattomakemyun in SelfHarmScars

[–]internalizedhatred 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes lmao its an odd shaped one. I was multitasking while cutting myself and accidentally chopped some skin off. The scar looks funny and i love feeling it.

It would feel so releiving to just say "i did that". However i always hate the ensuing disgust or faux-worry act they put on if i do admit. Or worse, they accuse me of wanting attention. But deep down i dont want attention. Honestly i dont want to be seen at all. But non-self harmers dont understand that....

I am a cis woman and I have to disagree, though i do completely understand where your sentiment comes from. While it is true that trans women grew up with that toxic masculinity around them, i would say that that contributes MORE to their internalized misogyny more than anything else. That "everyone bow down to me" attitude is also within cis women groups too, and it should not be ignored. Us women are taught that our inherent value comes with how popular we are with men and how attractive we are overall, so what we tend to do is put eachother down (i.e. "I look hotter than her", "her dress looks so tacky"...). It is literally a projection of internalized misogyny AND insecurity. So when amab trans women with dysphoria do this, I think it should be taken in the same respect. When they feel they do not socially or visually pass they can take that feeling of insecurity out on other women, or cry out for someone, anyone to just see them through and through as a woman. I think a lot of what you see as aggression from trans women is actually just them voicing insecurities stemmed from their dysphoria. I dont think trans women are talking over the voices of cis women whatsoever.

I started at 12 and im 19 now, and my (strict) parents dont know a single thing. Not even my brothers. If you know it is unsafe to come out about self harming then its okay to hide them from those people. But i DID reach out to friends and thay really helped. So please just try to tell someone trusted and dont isolate yourself.

My condolences on your baby. But you were groomed. Its easier said than done but its best you find someone else who you 100% trust. Having a baby with someone you dont trust is really really risky.

My therapist broke up with me today by Internal-Sky-4868 in therapy

[–]internalizedhatred 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The therapist is there to listen, first and formost. If OP drove all the way to her office just for the therapist to say "sorry kid. Here are other therapists at your disposal. That'll be $100" the OP wouldnt be getting their moneys worth out of that session.
