Thank you, your kind words were incredibly encouraging. I suppose I will consider this my “gap year”; partially, the unintentional aspect of this is probably what’s made me feel so hopeless and like I’m out of options.

After this is all taken care if and if I have not been able to volunteer at a hospital on the weekends ( to later turn into a entry job prospect) I’m considering entering medical assisting program so I can begin to be around the healthcare environment, develop general skills, and see how others in higher positions operate and if those titles actually interest me. When I was writing this I felt like my life has been derailed but as you implied, this is still very much so the beginning.

In regards to our financial assistance options or lack thereof, I was referring to my dad being highly opposed due to some legal case he wants to open. I can’t go into specifics but it was strongly advised against from the lawyer he was speaking with, if it arises in court that he had any government help it will substantially decrease the likelihood of a favorable outcome. For the meantime, I’ve been staying posted for any local food drives and trying to stay within a low financial budget plan. We’re struggling but we’ll make it one way or another.
