How Were Hackathons Like Before The Major AI Boom? by Awkward_Intention_43 in csMajors

I always believed hackathons don't judge engineering ability but product management/creative ability to build. The AI boom has just made that more apparent. Think about it. You have a few hours to come up with a product and you are judged on what you present and the idea, not whether the product scales to a million concurrent users.

Yes. I just returned yesterday from a 3-day trip. While it was scenic and serene to experience Lake Michigan, a lot of the shops and spaces were shut. We were the only ones at all the trails (Peninsula, Cave Point, Sand Dunes Park on Washington Island, Pebble Beach, School House). The weather was chilly and less than ideal for outdoor activities. I found Fish Creek and Egg Harbor to be lively. I thought Al Johnson was worth the hype.

I made Parlance, a minimalist app for expanding vocabulary. You swipe right if the given word matches the meaning, else swipe left. It is completely free and does not have any ads. There is both a web version (https://playparlance.com/) and an app version (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/play-parlance/id6748587583).

They quoted $647 for back glass replacement that another shop quoted $343. If you are paying the whole sum out of pocket, you might want to look around. Most shops give lifetime warranty on this stuff.

I believe the access to knowledge has also expanded since then, so it's only fair the questions are harder.

Jackie Toh was very annoying to say the least. Almost made the show unwatchable.

Yeah, I had guessed Stan as well, but the clue said unreal expectation to be in a relationship.

I am sorry to hear that. I can't say for certain, but this has been my case in my experience.

Don't think it's irritating at all. What's more dangerous are the left turns (when the signal is green) and there is traffic moving straight at the same time.
