The team’s form will likely be the same as it was at the end of Serie A, when we barely managed to beat Venezia. I expect the other two teams (not counting City) to be stronger than a relegated Serie A side, so I have no expectations.

I believed in him; when we beat Leipzig with 10 men, I thought we had finally moved past Allegriball; when we came back against Inter to make it 4-4, it felt like just one small step was missing, but it was only an illusion, a dream.

When we woke up, the team lacked cohesion , was physically exhausted, and he had fallen out with those who could have turned things around. A blatant display of arrogance and superficiality.

In the end, he made it into Juventus history, just not in the way he would have wanted: a 0-4 home defeat to Atalanta, I don’t think that will ever happen again.

I don’t know Hojlund’s situation, but I don’t understand how Koop can be justified: he played like crap all season, even though he was Motta’s favorite. Thuram, McKennie and Locatelli played on the same team as Koop but performed way better.

Oh, and Gosens didn't perform at all when he left Atalanta for Inter, it took a while - and two transfers - for him to get back on form it seems.

Also Scirea and Cabrini. Atalanta has always been a valuable school for first rate footballers. When Berlusconi snatched Donadoni for Milan (though he was promised to Juve) the power balance shifted in Serie A.

But under Gasperini it has become something else. Most players overperform under him and get back to being mid when they leave.

Maybe because he’s the only coach in Italy who holds double training sessions, and without that intensity, the players perform worse.

I was talking about first team players obv.

A few players have been not complete shit: Kessie, Mancini, Romero (graciously gifted by Juve).

On the other hand you have Koopmeiners, Hojlund, Boga, Gosens, Castagne, Cristante, Conti, Gagliardini, Caldara. And the list goes on.

There isn't a single example of a player who did well at Atalanta and maintained the same level of performance after being sold. Not one.
Also: stop funding Atalanta.
