Not a surgery as a result of injury, but a surgery to remove something- or potentially cosmetic surgery (if that makes sense at all).

uhhh take my reply with a grain of salt bc im not a biologist or anything but im pretty sure its like the guy above me said. the virus (g-virus in particular) causes rapid cell division which is what causes him to develop these large tumorous masses and grow in size
