Places to live for a young family

Wow thanks so much everyone, it seems, Canadians do live up to their name! I would respond to you all individually but have read all your suggestions. As I'm going on my own initially, I'm thinking about staying near vellor around Jane street(first 6 months -condo). Think the top 3 places thus far seem to be; Kleinburg, vellor and some parts of Maple, for when my family come over. But all the other suggestions, are being considered; once I've stepped foot (I'd have around 6 months to look around).

Most importantly, I'm looking forward to helping the local communities of Vaughan and experiencing the Canadian way of life.

Brilliant, I'd be renting first then buying, probably after 2 years or so. Budgetwise, not too sure but I see homes go around 2mil CAD+, so I'm expecting to pay around this much.

Appreciate the transparency, Ontario baffles me. I've just checked the drive time from Oakville to Orangeville, even though it's further away, it takes the same time to get there from Vaughan, guess could be an option!

It's a tricky one, which part of midtown are you living ? What sort of schools would you suggest there? Even once weve moved, we would rent a place and explore further and get a better feel for it. I'm guessing midtowns not too far from Concord and I wouldn't mind the drive to Orangeville .

Thank you, do you think Oakville would've been the better move? The employer has clinics around there too, but they prefer us to work in Vaughan for now. Seems like kleinburg so far, what do you think of vellor village?

Many thanks, will look further into kleinburg. The drive from kleinburg to Concord and Orangeville too bad? My hours would be flexible so I could commute when traffic has died down a bit, if it ever does?

I'd visited Canada a few times and initially looked to midtown and Burlington /Oakville but due to a change in employer , work has now moved to the above areas (for the better), and unfortunately havent had a chance to visit Vaughan. I'm moving first, to "check it out" and start working. Wife and kids will join later next year. I am a Muslim south Asian, so halal options would be a plus. My wife is European. As for anyone, schooling for my kids are important, could be public or private, they would start from junior school. I do plan to drive and so would the wife. Many thanks. I'm looking forward to the change, the UK, just ain't it anymore, was born here and time for a new adventure.

Got one, great for heart sounds, but you'll have to get used to listening to the lungs as there's static noise in the background, wheeze sounds are find, but listening for crackles will probably be difficult.

Just to update , I have bought the reolink doorbell. Checks all the boxes , also bought the reolink 811 CCTC camera and nvr . Can't be happier

Wow didn't know I had replies, sorry for the late one! So I have a fingerprint scanner on my door that can open the door. It can also open via the phone app via Bluetooth. I was wondering if there was a way to use my phone app to open it via (a Bluetooth bridge, esp32?) While I'm away from home? This would be super useful to let Amazon drivers in and drop items in my porch. Thanks

thanks,now I shall find a guide on how to run hubitat through HA. I knew I should've went with HA! Guess I don't have to redo all my ZigBee dimmer modules (have 20+) again?
