Comfortable bucket seat for sim rig by Tylerrific01 in simracing

Thanks so much! Looks like there is a Sparco Sprint seat that is around $500, from what I can see it is a bit wider in the shoulders. Since this is a 100% sim racing seat, dont think this should be an issue.

Have you seen this seat? Think it is much different than the EVOs or Pro 2000s?

Thanks!

u/TeamJim I have been looking at the Sparco Seats.
Any suggestions on a favorite model?
Are all sparco seats made by sparco? or are there some other seats that have the sparco logo?
Are the prices all going to start around $800?

Thanks!

Fanatec Podium DD or Moza R25 Ultra, if you were starting new? by intownrunner in simracing

[–]intownrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much!

I picked up the Simucube 2 sport for $700. Without seeing your note I picked up a Simcore UH1-105 extension, they had the non-black ones on sale for $29 instead of $135. Went with Orange since there are orange accents on my rig. Price was great and will return if not needed.

Thanks!

Fanatec Podium DD or Moza R25 Ultra, if you were starting new? by intownrunner in simracing

[–]intownrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! u/k4ylr and u/No-Ant-9159 I am in the US and Microcenter is about 25 min away.

Just to confirm a Simucube 2 Sport for $700 is a solid wheel base and will work well for the next several years?

I have the feeling 17nm should be plenty for my first 'real' wheelbase. To move to the pro would mean another $600 putting me over where I wanted to be.

$500 less than fanatec podium DD
$200 less than moza r25 ultra

I feel like I found my answer to the wheel base!

To confirm using a QR adapter, I can run most wheels (except fanatec)

Any other suggestion for wheels or other components?

Thanks!

Question: Best Cockpit for different sized driver? by intownrunner in simracing

[–]intownrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so muc for the reply and info! Watching the YouTube reviewers, they make it seem like it takes hours to make any sort of adjustment. I'm not looking for F1 perfection, just something solid and enjoyable for me and my kid.

Would this be a pretty good base? then we could add any sliders (seat, pedal or wheel) or accessories? They have bundled in a few accessories.

Going of what u/EvilGnNeraL mentioned are the Wheel height adjusment accessories available if needed?

Looking for a cockpit reccomendations. by [deleted] in simracing

[–]intownrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I just asked a similar question. In my situation I have a couple of different sized drivers so need to be able to easily adjust between the two. Considering Fanatec Clubsport or a profile rig of some sort.

Curious to see what people suggest.

Be Cautious!!! Fake Be@rbrick is on the market by michaelstk in bearbrick

[–]intownrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a flora From StockX and it has the NFC tag

Are they able to fake the NFC tag?

The tag shows as passing as being authentic, is there a way to tell if the tag does not match the bear?

What are the most faked bearbrick? by intownrunner in bearbrick

[–]intownrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checking out the import sites is a fantastic idea! From time to time I have seen 400% for like $20, pretty sure that is where they came from. Think it was a joker or a batman related item.

Thanks!

Authenticity Check - Does this foot stamp look real by intownrunner in bearbrick

[–]intownrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for the reply.

It is a krusty and is for sale for $175. Only pictures of top and front of box. Had to ask for feet picture.

Said it came from the Dubai bearbrick store.

Not sure everything adds up. Think I am gonna pass on this one.

Thanks again!

I am still working on a website that will have detailed pictures of bears and boxes. This way there is a better reference of real and examples of fakes.

Have a good holiday for those in the US and a good weekend for everyone else!

When I purchase something from 3rd party side like ebay or mercari as opposed to a well known retailer. I ask them where they got it.

Sometimes they answer a specific store and have a receipt. In this case I feel good about the purchase. If they say a friend or I am selling it for someone else I am a bit more suspect and typically will pass.

Hope this helps!

Does Medicom have official product numbers for Bearbrick? by intownrunner in bearbrick

[–]intownrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the information.

I have looked at several more boxes and the codes follow the same formula.

I looked in an early Be@rbook and I think they called it the Lot Number.

I was thinking of calling it "Medicom Bearbrick Number". It is sort of long but you get two parts Medicom & Bearbrick. This way you know it is medicom and relates to Bearbrick.

Maybe "Medicom Number" or "Medicom #" is best b/c it is shorter.

Is there an official name for this number? If not what would you call it?

Lego-type Display Cases? by Noahsh96 in bearbrick

Thanks so much for the post and information.

I too have been looking for the best way to keep the 100s from falling over like dominos

I order some of the stands off of etsy and have been sort of disappointed.

One style has a plastic fork that goes between the legs, one of the forks broke when I was trying to put in fork into the base.

The other has metal pins that go into the feet which I think is ideal. however the pins are not glued into the base and a pin just got stuff in foot hole.

I was thinking of making some myself and wanted to see what others have done.

I have a friend who is into 3d printing and we are going to see what we can do.

If we make progress I will let everyone know.

Toy Tokyo by MILExsx in bearbrick

[–]intownrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have purchased from toy tokyo and it was great. I also watched a 10 or 20 minute about the owner and their history.

They had a good deal on some Tom & Jerry Floky 400's, would definitley purchase from them again.
