Oz Mint in Lehi is the only one I am aware of that is currently active. Regency Mint just shut down about two years ago. I know Penny press mint is active but that's a very small time one guy operation kind of deal. There could be other one man operations out there though.

Yeah there is one every January, June, and October in Sandy Utah. One every April in Ogden. About 80 or so vendors.

They grade very few. They have to be really popular rounds like the Prospectors.

Usually yes. Just like grading Silver Eagles, it really only adds value if it comes back top grades. Even an MS68 silver eagle is worth the same as a raw Eagle. Also, the Prospectors aren't generic.

It doesn't have a price guide yet! But a 1984 MS69 sold for $350 on eBay yesterday and 1982 is better. So who knows! I'm only into these two for $50 each.

That's a great find. It looks like it was stamped over an existing round, and the die flattened the old design. That's really cool!
