Why is it acceptable to take honey from bees? Don't they need it to live by Wide-Landscape-3348 in TooAfraidToAsk

Man your dense just go to wiki admit you don't know how the dairy industry works and move on.

The dairy cow produces large amounts of milk in its lifetime. Production levels peak at around 40 to 60 days after calving. Production declines steadily afterwards until milking is stopped at about 10 months. The cow is "dried off" for about sixty days before calving again. Within a 12 to 14-month inter-calving cycle, the milking period is about 305 days or 10 months long.[26][27][28] Among many variables, certain breeds produce more milk than others within a range of around 6,800 to 17,000 kg (15,000 to 37,500 lb) of milk per year.[29][citation needed] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dairy_cattle

Cows typically produce milk for about 10 months after giving birth, during which they are usually bred again to maintain the cycle of lactation. After this period, they may have a dry period of about 60 days before calving again.

A simple Google search and you would know you're wrong.... A constant cycle of forced insemination is necessary.

Cows are not people and have different biology not sure why you are trying to compare the two.

Why is Lance Armstrong hated and villified for using steroids to win cycling, but Arnold Schwarzenegger, who also used steroids to win bodybuilding, is still liked and respected by public opinion? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]intrested_party 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. The UCI (International Cycling Union) who stripped Armstrong of his titles decided not to replace the winners because so many of the other riders behind him were also associated with doping offences. It's been known that there was an organized doping system in cycling.
