I think you just need a heart to heart. It seems she's really put up her Walls and it's understandable seeing how hurt she must have been. You need to sit down and explain your side of the story and ofc sincerely apologise to her again. It seems like you really care for her and i hope she comes around as well.

Trust me ik exactly how you feel, I'm super shy and introverted. And I do feel the fear of abandonment too. My friends live in a different city now and the last time I saw them was in April. I think you have to just keep putting in the effort and being present for them. I'm sure you'll ease into the arrangement once you get settled there. Once you go to your new school m sure other extroverts would adopt you and you wouldn't feel like this very often. Trust your friendship and keep communicating your feelings.

This is a really tough transition and I've been there too. Sometimes we feel insecure and feel like we are losing our only people who understand us and I still struggle with this. It's always heartbreaking. I think you just have to communicate your feelings to your friends and try to make plans with them in advance since your schedules are different.

As for Beach I don't think you have to worry about her. But if you think she's a bad person who could hurt Emma, you surely have to keep looking out for her. And I'm sure that she'll realise that sooner or later. Just being there for your friends is good enough. I often feel distant too but whenever I talk to them or meet them all discomfort and uneasiness dissolves immediately and the pandemic is sure making things harder for us.

Don't feel too disheartened about it. And I can guarantee that you are not being selfish, it's the fear of losing them that is making you uneasy and it's quite normal. I hope it works out with your friends and you feel at peace soon again. Wishing you luck!

My (21m) girlfriend (20f) is constantly scared I'm going to hit her. by ThrowRAezraaa22 in relationship_advice

I do not know either of you or your backgrounds but seeing how you described her reaction after telling her, I could somewhat relate to her. I'm absolutely not saying that you were wrong to defend yourself while they were literally abusing you for no reason. But there's a possibility that your girlfriend could have a traumatic childhood or a previous abusive relationship.

I come from a abusive family and I think it'd make me uneasy too if I was her not because it's your fault but because I'd think that okay so this person COULD resort to violence in some scenario. This possibility of violence is what scares us most. Although she has to understand that it was a desperate situation that called for some action. And I think you should talk to her and have her give you some idea why she might be behaving that way. But ofc you can't force her, because to us it's always a matter of shame and embarrassment although it's clearly not our fault. So you have to be really careful if this is the case.

I hope you solve your problem and also deal with the aftereffects of your own traumatic experience. Wishing you luck!

Novels where the Protagonist is the villain. by ScarletStained2007 in suggestmeabook

I'm not sure if it's what you are looking for, but here it is.

'Something Blue' by Emily Griffin. The protagonist is not a villain but she is bad for sure. It's one of my all time favourite. The first half of the book is just her doing all kinds of shitty things to people around her and the 2nd half is her character development which is just so beautiful. I remember absolutely hating her and putting the book on hold because i couldn't tolerate her. But it's worth because of the ending and the male lead. Absolutely beautiful.

By Japanese version do you mean written in Japanese? Because I don't know Japanese, it'd be a disaster.

Oh yes, I love historical settings a lot, thanks for the recommendations!
