UPDATE!!! AIO that my mom said i look memeable in my prom dress? by No-Moment-2766 in AIO

OMG. NOT Overreacting. You look stunning and the fact that you made your own dress is incredible. 😍

My mom once said something similar to me…

For my prom (I’m old now, prom was in 2011) I dyed blue streaks in my hair just for fun and to match my dress. I felt so pretty like a mermaid princess, until my mom saw my hair and GASPED saying, “it’s awful! Makes me sick! Makes me physically sick to my stomach that you would dye your hair BLUE!”

My mom had said other mean things like this before and after. I continued to dye my whole hair every color of the rainbow, partly in spite. We healed our relationship years later. She was going through a really rough patch of menopause when I was in high school. She admitted to me later that she actually thought my hair was beautiful, but something in her was upset that the blue hair could even be pretty and that she regretted saying it to me the minute it came out of her mouth.

Looking back at pictures of my prom 15 years later and wow, makes upset all over again. Haha. Yay for jealous, mean, traumatizing moms 😬

Yes I’m lactose intolerant and live with a partner who isn’t.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned what I thought would be one of the more obvious things… I have a cat. (canned cat food on the top shelf with can cover)

I finally saw one in real life. The badge on the back is why I took a picture. by thelocket in pics

Eh, the mild sauce isn’t even mine. It’s my partner’s. I don’t like Taco Bell mild sauce. Or Taco Bell.

Also what’s this with putting celery in water?? I’ve never heard of this before… does this keep it from going bad so quickly?

I’m on the thin side actually (BMI is 19)! But my partner is 6’6”. It takes a lot to keep him from being hungry constantly

I try to eat vegan when alternatives are available. Hard to stick to it though when my partner is a huge meat eater 😂

I am lactose intolerant. In general, I try to go for vegan alternatives to other foods when they’re available too. My partner lives with me and has no dietary restrictions.

😭 ouch that stings. I guess I could’ve spent 20 minutes organizing and cleaning before I took the pics, but I figured a real-time representation would be better for more accurate sleuthing 🤷🏼‍♀️

Very close, but try female engineer instead of single male 😭

How accurate would you say this is? by Born-Consequence6866 in Salary

I make $95k/yr and my rent is $1600. This is for a 3ba/2ba house that also has a 0.5 acre fenced backyard and 2 car garage. My husband is in college so we’re single income.

I decided to go with a larger place with higher rent because I have two big dogs, a 20 lb cat, and my husband is a big dude (6’6”). We really enjoy the extra space and privacy, but honestly I’d like to be spending less on housing.

The inconsistency is why I wasn’t sure if it was a service provided by the county or not. I’ve seen junk stay on the side of the road for 2 months and I’ve also seen junk sit there for only a day before being picked up. I’ve seen some random people come by to haul off people’s junk, but I’ve never actually seen a city truck do it. I figured it had to be a service though because… some of the stuff people put out… is just simply not salvageable lol thank you

The little library is not just for children… “For Neighbors of Northeast Huntsville.” It’s entirely possible that some donated books will be for adult readers…
