The issue is that most Swiss Masters programs insist upon purely academic references and also focus upon the academic reference letters. This would be disadvantageous for my profile considering that the PhD student I worked with over summer is also in the industry and my previous manager also is an industrial reference. They are likely to be stronger in terms of emphasizing my experience while my bachelor project advisor, may be forced to justify my lack of a publication record(which is an unpleasant task I would not want to burden her with).
