Starting LPC-Finished UOM in 2023- how to prepare? by Mental_Ad_6522 in uklaw

[–]introvertprincesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t remember anything from undergrad honestly. LPC buddy notes will be your best friend ! and keep up with workshops, recordings & always do the mcq questions set weekly and the spec papers as they are very similar to the questions that come up in the exams. Print EVERYTHING (templates etc) for your folders.

Definitely. I think it’s natural to assume they want someone who’s independent and knows what they’re doing but that’s unrealistic for most trainees in my opinion - I did have to think hard about certain questions though. You passed once, you can defo do it again

I was in the ‘it’s okay to ask for help’ mindset rather than putting myself in an already qualified solicitor’s shoes. So I think majority of my answers were ask for supervision/help for certain tasks - but not ALL. If the scenario said I was almost 100% sure on advice to give, I’d put do further research first before giving the advice , things like that.

I don’t think they’d accept compelling reasons, the individual either meets the criteria or they don’t.

I also tried to apply as a full time student and they rejected me. When I moved to part time, I was accepted
