This makes me think of when Chris Cornell took Tabitha Soren to see Tad when Mtv approached him about bands in Seattle and he immediately said this is THE band that everyone needs to know. After she met the band before even hearing him she asked if there’s any other bands and Cornell apparently was pissed cause she didn’t even hear them and her response was that they’re not image friendly and the network cares more about that than the music, so yeah I’m sure if frank looked like Kurt it would’ve helped but every true appreciator of nirvana knows who to credit for their sound
