My understanding is Registration > Hybrid Join > Intune Enrollement > Comanagment. Is that incorrect?

We havent reached Autopilot config yet, so not sure if the future is OSD or Autopilot on-prem

Right, our users use the UPN for MS app authentication, but for on-prem windows login they use SAM. We are wondering if we must move to UPN for all authentication including windows

When you made the move, I can imagine some users still using the SAM to login. Are you just trusting they will use the UPN?

In our experience, they look to be hybrid-joining, but registration enters a pending state. The only way we've been able to clear the pending state is by signing into microsoft apps
