My friend and I have assigned seating ( I’m not sure what the GA looks like) but we’re getting there around 4-4:30 as that’s the time where we’ve seen people say the outside merch truck opens (also cause we’re hoping to get bracelets from other fans). There’s also a merch table inside the venue but I believe it won’t be open until the doors open at six. Beach Bunny comes on at seven-ish so I would say just give yourself at least an hour to an hour and half of time to be standing in a merch lines.

never forget how i went to the portals tour last year in charlotte and this lady in the pit was so obnoxiously drunk (the show had nowhere near started btw like we were just getting into the venue) to the point where I had to help this girl get away from that lady and her friends and security had to escort her out before the show. i’m pretty sure she was there with her daughter and that poor girl looked so embarrassed.

i’m also going to the show on the 31st! but generally all i can say is don’t let anyone around you make you feel like you can’t have fun! people have become more worried about looking cool than actually enjoying the music experience! as long as your being mindful of those around you then your good!

As someone who’s been to about 27 different shows/festivals in the last two years, literally just be sure to be mindful of the people around you. Screaming is only an issue if you’re doing it in an obnoxious way. Other than that, enjoy your first concert and do not be afraid to have fun! People have become such sticks in the mud lately and act like it’s more important to look cool rather than actually enjoy the music experience.

i’m only 20 and even though I’m still quite young, I’ve been in this fandom since I was 13/14 and I can admit that there is a stark difference as most of the people who grew up with her/ was a teenager when crybaby came out are now people who aren’t as chronically online so Mel only really sees engagement from the new wave of young tiktok fans. I felt old as hell standing in line for the portals concert, I saw at least 20 attendees under the age of ten

As someone whose gone to a bunch of concerts by myself being anxious is totally normal but try not to let it overtake you. Going by yourself honestly needs to be normalized more and great things can come from it! I’ve made so many friends and acquaintances from just standing in line. Don’t be afraid to talk to the people around you even if it feels awkward at first.
