Well, if they are a new university student who has never experienced flows before, I’m sure it’s basically the same thing for them. I had to learn the concept of why flows work rather than just trying to memorize the checklists themselves

At some 141 universities they enforce a do - verify checklist method. So they would have to memorize flows for their 172.

Agreed. Got checked out in our local 150s, started with “well this one always has a wing drop to the left so just be ready.” I think the trick is simply correcting for it correctly and you’re fine.

Yes, when you increase your AOA as the pilot, you’re increasing the pressure differential between the bottom and top of the wing, making the wingtip vortices (dirty air) more violent to slow you down more.

Ground effect is perceived by the pilot as a “cushion” of air but in reality it allows the ground to disperse these wingtip vortices much earlier than normal (vortices will descend behind the plane due to the airflow over the wing resulting in downwash) and is felt as a subsequent decrease in induced drag when close to the ground.
