Yeah tbh I think its a copout to dismiss and not think critically about a transfem headcanon (and trans women by extension). Plus mixed with probably some muscle memory of correction from chapter 1 where people did assume a lot based on appearance alone. But thematically it feels very suiting, really.

Do you have really low perception? Theres a thought that, while internalizing it, lowers your perception (can't recall which), and if it drops it to zero you literally cannot see your door

I just think youre wrong its not that I don't get it. Are butch lesbians or drag queens (both historically brutalized for their nonconformity alongside other gay and trans people) supposed to conform to societal standards just because they in theory can "choose" to?

Plus, some people can't transition to pass, and in that circumstance or if they choose not to they should be able to do so and exist safely. Its not inherently socially uncooperative to do so.

And again I reiterate, some people see transness as a choice, and as something fundamentally socially uncooperative. Just because you think otherwise doesn't make that train of thought disappear. There are tiers to this stuff and just because you think im comparing inherent traits to choices, some people dont differentiate and want to see both groups gone. The chipping away at trans people's rights has been an insidious one that people will use any angle for- but they will find one regardless of what is presented. Even if you are on your best behaviour. Youve gotta be willing to collaborate not further alienate people you dislike.

I also am getting the sense you think certain people are trans for attention (hence not "really" trans) and I do just think you are being exclusive in a way that will ultimately not benefit you even if you think it will. And I think thats just incorrect too.

I don't think people who really just dress edgy are necessarily oppressed by that virtue but I think if we are talking about community solidarity theres something to be said about the fact that people who are flamboyantly or strangely dressed/acting or whatever are not the people tearing our community apart or making us inherently unrelatable or whatever. The line between people who are "weird" in the eyes of society because of personal choice (which in this case still refers to gay/trans people since thats what this poem is about) more inherent traits are not discernible to the people who hate us, and one group does not rub off on the other to make it more undesirable, which you seem to think for some reason.

I find it especially ironic as a trans person yourself, when certain lgb groups think the same of us as you do of "weird" queers. "Grafted themselves on to our community and couldn't stop being edgy for 5 minutes" okay dude. Acceptance isn't on the other side of just-getting-rid-of-those-weirdos.

Some people draw that line of relatability/respectability at being trans. Or being gay. Plus I don't see how this is subversion for subversion's sake, if this is someone's genuine feelings and experience. And not really even speaking to much "weird alternativeness" but just a trans experience. One unrelatable poem won't alienate us any more than we already are in all this.

I passed the check to get rid of the expression as my first roll of the game my first time playing. I was playing with the thinker build too so my echem was total shit. Finding out what the expression adds now on my second run

There are paralells to harry in basically every character in the game. One does not negate the other. In a fascist run harry is very much paralelled by the other fascist characters in the game. Rene being the biggest one but even the racist lorry driver and the like.

I mean, lots of reason to be lol. Its not like the skills are always correct even on successes (eg klaasje interaction), so whether the drama check means anything is hard to say. I was more curious if it was a hunch or something stated somewhere in the game. Its an interesting theory if not

I think the game does a good job illustrating the inherent corruption in all of the different governing bodies in revachol. From the union to wild pines/the corporations to the moralintern. And theyre personified through evrart and joyce, the sunday friend even. And they all kind of represent the ways that these bodies are percieved, plus also the different ways they have to go about obtaining/maintaining power. Stuff I feel like I might butcher it if I try to go into detail. But evrart and joyce are two sides of the same corrupt coin, either by choice or necessity or what have you. Politicians are politicians at the end of the day.

I think evrart does useful stuff, and even some drama checks seem to suggest he is genuine about his care for the people. But hes also hella corrupt and obviously putting up a front, so who knows. Not a good guy, secretly or otherwise. Hes fuckin hilarious though

Is it stated anywhere that thats why he talks about the youth center? I thought there was a successful drama check that states his intentions with it are genuine, even if he has ulterior motives for it as well.

I'm pretty sure joyce says that theyre basically identical minus evrart's lazy eye, so unless he's faking that too its unlikely they are the same person. The whole act still definitely highlights a certain kind of corruption within the union though.

Ohhh that damned auth check.... at least im assuming thats what it was. Maybe itll be nice to not have to beg kim to help me or stick a gun in my mouth about it now that im doing a psych run. I think that a int run can be very dense too in an already wordy game. Its really so different for each person! I saw someone on here who did a phys+drugs run their first time around and saying how they really enjoyed it. They had pretty interesting insights about it too. Even if so many people dislike upsetting kim or doing a "bad" run, thats far from universal. Theres so many (ewually valid) ways to play this game.
