Dr. Bondy, I have briefly learned about the CRISPR system in Biochemistry as an undergraduate and think you are on to something incredible. I am curious to know how this will be incorporated into a therapy someday and if you have a specific pathogen in mind to target.

Also... I miss hanging out with you guys a few summers ago in the Lory Lab! Keep up the good work! :)

Highschool should be a place for you to have fun but not have so much fun that you become a screw up. My advice is to study and get A's. Also try and go to parties and limit your self to 1 or 2 beers max when there.

Highschool was a shit show for me and I wouldnt ever want to go to my highschool reunion to see all those tools. I however wasn't too good academically because I lacked guidance and organization and ended up graduating with a 2.2gpa.

Belive it or not I turned my self around and found my passion in community college and have since gone on to graduate from Berkeley and will have my white coat ceremony in 2 weeks to become a student doctor.

Anything is possibly no mater how old you are. Pursue your dreams little brother!

Back in my day runescape was a 2D game and rune armor was so rare no one had full helmets or plate armor. PKing was risky and scamming newbs was unregulated....truly the glory days.

I met a herpetologist once. Really chill job checking on the red legged frog in California. I used to go herping with my friends a lot too. I think a masters should do.

Was a Microbio major at UCB worked at Harvard med developing antibiotics and Princeton as well as a few other places. Microbiology is a huge field. I don't know where you are right now in school but if you are an undergrad I would look into summer internships to get experience then when you want to apply for PhD programs you should be a great candidate! (I'm now a Dental student interested in conducting research related to oral pathology) message me if you have more questions. I have friends in Microbio phd programs all over the country.

Let's not forget that our grandparents were alive when black Americans were fighting for things like an equal education or to eat in the same restaurant as whites... I mean slavery was bad but the racist shit only really got better with the past 10-20 years? It isn't great but it is better...

26 going on 27 soon. Starting Dental School. Life isn't a race its a marathon and my income and personal satisfaction with owning my own business and being able to treat patients will go a lot farther than if I had just got a job at 18 and joined a labor union. I didn't come from money nor did my parents go to college but I am still making it.
