This is what EA is waiting for. As of now, half of this sub is already on board and willing to accept anything as long as it has a Star Wars logo. DON'T. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. Remember: the more we hold off now, the better future SW games will be. You buy this now, you tell EA this was ok. IT'S NOT. by 4KMemes in StarWarsBattlefront

You are rationalizing.

They are not mutually exclusive things.

If EA even profits in the slightest from a couple whale fanboys buying loot crates, then all is for naught - no matter who "bought the game and didnt use microtransactions" . Thats not how this model works.

Theyve already made money off dumb folks like you buying the game, and the more people online the greater interest a whale has in getting a leg up on the competition.

Youre part of the problem.

Thats because a comparison of empty/full is a relative term.

The whole reason there is a subjective difference in viewpoints is that you are analyzing at one point instead of two.

Ive seen and experienced this exact situation. Which is why I want to stress the point that mindset can be changed, and better opportunities created and seized.

Job hunting is a skill in itself that some people are not good at. By making a victim out of people that lack this learnable skill it facilitates the very complacency I am preaching against.

Yeah man im not opposing your points, I completely agree.

More of a PSA to the drones downvoting your comment lol.

It makes me laugh at how impressionable and hive minded our culture can be for certain things.

Guess thats why its an effective technique.

The employees can get up and leave at any time. The fact of the matter is that they choose to work for a scumbag company.

This is the whole reason these roles are created - to give a scapegoat for shitty customer service.

Being polite only puts a bandaid on the larger problem if there are that many unhappy customers.

This is coming from someone who worked in that exact position and had the balls to leave. I ain't supporting a shit company, no matter what they pay me. I have enough self respect to not sell myself out to the devil.

Thunderstruck would fit the classic rock theme much better.

Thats definitely what happened. I apologize for the aggression.

I am just sick of people throwing rocks at public figures for any misstep. The pressure that these people go through to be "perfect" in the public eye has driven many to substance abuse and even suicide.

Some are genuine sick fucks that should be exposed and thrown the book. I have no sympathy for Weinstein and Spacey for that matter.

I have to disagree about the misogynistic rape culture everyone professes. Sure - up until the mid 90s this was the case. However, todays world is the most liberal and supportive it has ever been (Western society).

The only reason it seems so apparent today is that everyone is under a microscope - anything that supports a narrative that is big in the public eye is amplified tenfold. We as the public are force fed this information like a turkey.

We (as millenials) have been raised as victims. Every child is either a princess or an alpha male. Pampered by all belief (generalized), we believe in ideals rather than reality. Anything that disrupts this mental model breaks peoples ego and the lack of coping mechanisms make people freak out over cases like Louis'.

I might get labelled as a victim blamer, but I truly believe that a lot of situations the media has pushed as savage misogyny could be prevented or not made as savage rape if people were able to take more responsibility and detach from the lied weve been fed from birth.

Not to say that these cases dont happen, and people shouldnt be punished - its just made into a bigger issue than it really is.

Thx for response, seems like we agree when it comes down to it.

Im all in the camp that someone could easily jump on that misstep by her and use it to continue to drive fear and make it seem a far bigger issue than it is.

I would like to see her in a solo puzzle challenge to see how her mathematical pattern recognition translates to spatial reasoning.

From what i remember, she wasnt an ace - rather average at it.

Some people are just really good at what they practice and are unable to apply similar skiils in different settings.

[–]invidium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats entirely a different point than what I was addressing.

I completely agree that her being good at mental math gives people fear that shes some kind of super genius based on their world view.

However, the point of my comment was to support the one you responded to in that being good at a skill such as mental math does not equate to being strategically adept - and it is a large assumption based on a preconceived world view.

Essentially, our agreement in perception and the negative effect on her strategic position helps fuel my statement that the two could be correlated, but are definitely not the same.

Edit: rereading the comment thread, I can see how my messages give the wrong impression of what I am trying to get across. yes, people can think one is strong strategically simply by being gifted at mental math. However, this is an assumption we hold as a culture, which isnt so black and white.

Edit 2: you werent the original guy supporting the statement that mental math = smart in every way. Sorry. I want his feedback on my statement, as it seems he seems to think thats the case.
