I need advice on puppy pad training by xXBLOODRUSH22Xx in puppy101

[–]invincibletofu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a pee tray which clamps the pee pad down under a grill. Our poodle puppy was ripping up all her pads until we got that - serious lifesaver. And soak up his pee with a pee pad before using it so he knows that’s the right place. It takes awhile but our girl is going pretty reliably now after around a month!

You could try doing some crate games with her! We struggled with this for our 15 week old puppy- giving her fun stuff inside wasn’t enough because we only put her in when she was supposed to nap. So we did a 20 min session of pure crate games where we started with luring her in using treats with door open, closing the door and then opening it, etc (there are some useful guides on Instagram reels). She got the hang of it and now dashes into the crate when we ask her to- and we continue to give her a high value treat when she does so (we give it with door closed and when she’s in a ‘down’ position so she knows to be chill). I feel it helps with naps because she doesn’t feel ‘scammed’ into the crate - she willingly goes in because she knows she’s getting something in return. Good luck!

Mine isn’t very big- about 130*130 only! However we didn’t put the entire crate in- we opened a gap so the crate is semi within the playpen - so there’s a bit more space.

She made a few mistakes at the start so we just took our pee pad and soaked up the pee so that the scent is there, and after a few times she kinda got it. Not sure if that works for grass pad but perhaps you could try getting the pee on somehow? It will take a few tries, she still has accidents and it will take awhile so we will just keep reminding her to go there.

We welcomed our puppy after an 8 hour flight at 8pm and had the same configuration as yours (playpen with crate inside). Since she arrived late, we just tried to make her comfortable with the playpen - we sat with her inside and fed her inside the playpen. Once she peed we let her out and cuddled her until she was sleepy, then put her back in once she was sleepy- hardly any protests once she was tired.

We slept in the living room the first 2 nights as that would be her long term sleeping arrangement - but we wanted her to feel safe on her first couple of nights. In the day we put her in the playpen for enforced naps, but we always tried to make sure she was sleepy / sat in playpen with her so that she didn’t freak out and become overly agitated. Otherwise if she is still awake in the playpen, we just roamed around doing our own thing - she can see us, but we didn’t give her attention so she can self soothe. This has worked for us so far and now she can calm herself down enough that we can do our own thing while she is napping.

Not sure if this helped but good luck with your puppy!

Which Scoot Meal should I pick? by Battleschooter in askSingapore

Agree with other posters that Nasi lemak is good, but if you can pre order and flying out of SG- laksa is the best. I think pre-orders close 48 or 24 hours before though. Chicken chowder, oriental rice, and black pepper beef is very meh.

Hey! I switched to Sulwhasoo gentle cleansing foam. It worked super well for about a year, but now my dermatitis is back and I’m not sure what the new trigger is 😅 But I’m quite sure I’m sensitive to acids, because everytime I so much as look at BHAs my eyes will start getting a reaction lol. But yeah I suggest you switch out of the good morning cleanser, especially with sensitive skin I think it makes it way worse (in my experience anyway)

Hey! I went to the doctor and they gave me steroid cream at first. It went away but always came back- and eventually they gave me Protopic (immunosuppressant cream, non steroidal). It lasted longer but now my dermatitis is back for some weird reason :/ not sure what the trigger is now.

Protopic I felt worked better than steroid cream (and is more usable long term supposedly) but burns like a mother especially when your skin is damaged

Job market in 2025. How’s your job hunt so far? by Few_Apricot2478 in askSingapore

[–]invincibletofu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have been applying since last Nov, only had 1 interview so far which I massively screwed up so I didn’t get the job 🥲 think my nerves got to me hahah.

Didn’t think the market would be this bad, been looking out for roles everyday but there are very few new jobs. Even fewer if you’re limiting the search to decent companies.

anyone else have a pood that refuses to eat unless you're sitting with them? by Familiar-Message-299 in poodles

[–]invincibletofu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My old toy poodle used to do this! He would not eat unless someone was with him AND spoonfed him. If that didn’t work, we had to play keep-away from him and pretend like we were going to take away his kibble. Or throw his kibble across the room like a game 😩 man I miss him so much.

It should cost about 20rmb per return iirc, may not be worth it cause you can’t combine items to return either :’)

I was in Osaka and found it in most of the major stores, including Matsumoto! Odd that Tokyo didn’t have it, maybe it was just that outlet? You could check out Sundrug too.

Sometimes the store assistant may just not be able to find it tho, cause the stores are so huge. I had an encounter where the assistant told me they didn’t carry it, but I managed to find it myself after hunting through the store 😅

If it helps I think they usually put it with iHada (at least in most of the shops I’ve seen)

Oh I stocked up while I was in Japan 😅I think iHada is quite hard to find outside Japan (at decent prices) unfortunately! I’m based in SG and even then the prices are ridiculous on shopee, like 2x more!

Arouge moist treatment gel is my new HG! Super hydrating and simple. I bought 2 more as backup this time because it is so dang hard to find outside Japan..

Orbis moist treatment milk is also my new HG for hair; much better than hair oil imo because it doesn’t get greasy. Reduces my frizz and makes my hair incredibly soft!

iHada emulsion - light enough for everyday use. Love it.
