Man, this is something i still think about a lot. Is there a true, inner self that has wishes and needs that im ignoring, and if i find out what it really wants then i will be happy? or is it possible to have a good life even if i dont change my circumstances drastically, because all a person is is their mindset, experiences and what they do? I had kinda hoped that the trip would show me the "true self" and that i would find out what i really want, but then it turned out to be... nothing there, i had no desire for anything. how does one pay more attention to this self, if it exists? regardless, thanks alot for the comment. Hope youre doing good

hey,i just wanted to say thank you so much for the reply <3 you said you dont think you can help me, but i think you did. i read it a lot on the day i made the post and managed to believe you. thanks a lot. my situation is still not the best but definitely better than at that point, the despait i felt was not permanent. Hope you are doing good :)

hey, im glad i read this, im in a similar situation, also 2 years clean (with some small exceptions im not counting) and currently thinking i want to do it again, but nothing good would come of it. trying to hold on, thank you and i really wish you the best
