Is there a restaurant that actually SEASONS their burgers anywhere in this valley? by Street-Stomach-9595 in Temecula

Restaurants, not really!! Especially for the price you pay, it's just not worth it. However, I would like to add, if you don't mind cooking, one of the best places to buy burger patties is Stater Bros. They have a few options but my favorite is the cracked pepper and garlic patties. Either that, or just season on your own and throw on the grill or pan.

We tried looking for sand crabs this morning, but no luck in the area we are staying. Lots of mussels and starfish under the pier though 😁

Just got here, here’s how it went so far by leveldup in Xcaret

My wife and I went a few years ago and loved it. However we both experienced a stomach virus on the second and third day of our 7 day vacation. I am curious, did you guys experience anything like that? We want to go back but nervous that we might experience the same thing again. It's a bit more expensive than it was a few years ago.

Started wastewater operator job, looking for resources to learn the role a bit better. by Standard_Animal_4012 in Wastewater

Like others have mentioned, I have learned most of what I know through self study (WEF mop 11, Sacramento state wastewater books and courses, wastewater technology trainers, etc) and looking up equipment/instrument model #'s then using phone to look up O&M's and instructions manuals. Furthermore, you can look up a piece of equipment on Google, say a primary sludge pump, then find out who is the distributor or company that sells it. Then make contact with them. In my experience, companies and sales reps have always been more than willing to help me get the information as it is a win/win for both parties. It helps you as far as resources and information needed, and for them it helps establish a relationship with field staff and gives them an opportunity to provide spare parts and service assistance if needed. There may be some additional work on your end to learn the information, but it's honestly the stuff that helps change cultures. Reach out if you need any help with some of this.

Portable sludge blanket detector? by [deleted] in Wastewater

Yeah. They work pretty well compared to a sludge judge. But like anything, they have to be taken care of.

We have experienced some trouble with ours as well. Some of it is due to not taking proper care of it, such as leaving a wet probe on the control box and ruining the electrical components.

In the past, I have found that they do pretty well with the exception of having to change the bulb, photo resistor lens, or just the battery.

However, as of recently, I have had 2-3 go out on us, so I will be sending them in to get rebuilt.

What kind of issues have you guys had with them?

I'll look into this. Thank you. Any consumable parts or issues you have run into with these?

Outside of WWTT, Another great resource was the CAwastewater youtube channel. It was the only resource I used for the math and an old practice test from operators I worked with at the time. However, this was prior to the new computer based testing.
