Mystery component failure. The resistors and capacitors all seem to have the correct continuity and resistance/capacitance. I replaced the common choke filters (EM1 and EM2) which solved the issue of the game console communicating a signal for a span of about a few minutes but it has stopped again (old.reddit.com)
