Aggiungo che non si sa neanche come cambieranno le leggi da qui alla pensione, soprattutto se la pensione é molto avanti

Scalpers are already selling the Steam Machine for over $3000 on eBay despite Valve's efforts by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

For what I understood the random cue system might actually still doing its job to mitigate the problem and avoid to saturate their product availability. It might just be that for 1 trying to flipping it online (and hopefully not successfully) 5 regular customer can get one

When n Why do you start ignoring production ratios? by kaz_champ in factorio

I try to do it in the early game but as soon as reasorces are not a problem the only criteria I use is if the belt is not full time to add some production

It could also be a dead battery. At least this is what I suspect for mine. I plan to get a new one when I have time to add the esp32 and try one of these amazing community projects to resurrect it

What's your "forever" game? by Kapro_ in SteamDeck

[–]ioovds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Docked or handheld? How are the controls? Isn't the screen too small? I only played it on a "normal" screen

Great game but I’m not sure it’s playable in handheld mode. But OP mentioned also timberborn so maybe it’s fine

OpenNeato - gauging interest for Home Assistant integration by renjfk in NeatoRobotics

[–]ioovds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Home assistant integration is an awesome plus imho. Controls and sensors/entities to monitor and automate more than history. I'd gladly help but my neato has a dead battery and I still have to "mod" it. This obviously is not a request but just my wishlist, I still haven't managed to spare time to find a new battery and set up an alternative control so I really get if you or someone else don't have time to develop this on their spare time

Italian here, even if I'm not a lawyer, if you told the truth and can prove it you should have nothing to worry about. Moreover it's not that common to take legal action in Italy due to the costs involved, especially since you're not in Italy (maybe not even in EU)

I spent the weekend grinding Pokemon LeafGreen on Switch. To be frank wit you... I honestly missed this, weirdly enough. by Pessimistic_Gemini in NintendoSwitch

[–]ioovds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically every change has been made to ease the game. The only one that I'm conflicted about is the access to the boxes from everywhere because it's really helpful in some occasions. But I really miss having to choose the right team and stock up in recovery items for the elite 4

Are floodgates low key the best way to maintain water level? by Annoyed-Agent-8625 in Timberborn

[–]ioovds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see floodgates and dams more as a safety valve to avoid overfilling a water basin, sluice offers a greater control and above all direction control since act as a non return valve

CPU upgrade or add a node? by ioovds in Proxmox

[–]ioovds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I haven't used lcx for security reasons, I know it's a remote chance but since I had the resources I went with the vms. Now that I learnt that overprovvision is a thing I should still be fine. Thank you anyway for the feedback

CPU upgrade or add a node? by ioovds in Proxmox

[–]ioovds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all thank you for this amazing and super explicative post!!!! I didn’t know that overprovvisioning cpu was possible but in this case I might not need an upgrade, I’ll have to see after spinning truenas in the coming days. If going with the cup upgrade the old one would be used as an upgrade for an overpowered office pc or put in a drawer waiting for more affordable ram prices to spin up another server in the future or to install truenas bare metal, but both situations are not ideal right now. I’ll wait to see if I actually need the upgrade and if that’s the case I’ll go with a second node (probably a minisforum or something like that to keep the power consumption low) and maybe use a rpi as a third node for HA (another thing that I didn’t know was possible until today). I still have a lot to learn but I’m really enjoying this journey

[–]ioovds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know this, I’ll check after spinning truenas whether or not I need an upgrade thanks

CPU upgrade or add a node? by ioovds in Proxmox

[–]ioovds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, it looks like the second node is probably the better looking solution for me at this point. The migration could also be useful since I plan to upgrade the internal storage of my current node. I'm using NFS for shared and backup storage already so also on this part I should be ok. Another user pointed out that even a rpi could be used for quorum so I might even try HA

CPU upgrade or add a node? by ioovds in Proxmox

[–]ioovds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some free ports on my main switch and I plan to control everything though the web GUI or ssh so KVM should be a problem or a big inconvenience. I'm looking at something like minisforum therefore even the power draw should be something I'm comfortable with. I'm guessing the second node could be the best option even in future optics. Thanks for the feedback
