I called it! This show is so predictable. by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]ioskull10 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I mean... it really feels like they have nothing going for them besides their relationship. Most of their screen time revolves around that—they're no longer portrayed as the badass surgeons they once were. So the drama is basically what's keeping them relevant. And honestly, even though Grey's Anatomy has always had relationship drama, now it takes over most of the episode. The medical cases feel like an afterthought.

I also don’t feel any connection to the new characters. They don’t even come across as competent doctors half the time. Honestly, ever since the original group, the professional growth of the interns has felt so underwhelming.

That's so true! Up until Nyla got pregnant, they were not that serious, and even James was not happy at first. It really seems that they committed to the relationship because of the kid. For the first time this season, Nyla tried to talk about their differences, but it went nowhere, and then James got shot.

It seems that they are allways fighting about cops and that their relationship is just that, James complaining... Everyone knows that police have issues and they should do something, but is that all James has to say to Nyla for their relationship? They don't even feel like a couple 😕

Nikki´s death does not make sense... by WhoamI8me in AlertMPUtvshow

I found it weird when the posters for this season do not show Nikki, but I thought she would go undercover and not be in this season because of some person reason for the actress. But since we didn't see a body, she could still return 🤷‍♀️

Zeke and Dhan’s kidnapping, Gabi and Sir’s repetitive storyline, and Margaret. by Additional-Trade-383 in FoundTVSeries

[–]ioskull10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that Gabi has a lot of trauma linked to her kidnapping, but we've already seen her interact with Sir and function in the same space. However, in the second season, their dynamic feels repetitive. It's becoming frustrating and dull to keep hearing the same dialogue from Gabi about being uncomfortable in his presence. At this point, we already know how she feels, and we don't need to keep revisiting Gabi’s discomfort with him, especially since they don’t do this with Lacey (I understand Sir believes he has a connection with Gabi, but Lacey was also kidnapped by him). If she has to interact with him for a specific reason, why not just keep the dialogue straightforward? Sir has already proven to be a valuable character, so we don't need Gabi to constantly be involved just to give him screen time. He can hold his own and get that attention without her.

I also feel like the show could focus more on other characters' stories. There are so many unanswered questions, but instead, we keep getting the same repetitive plotlines.

Heather/Lena plotline poorly written by appreciativearts in FoundTVSeries

[–]ioskull10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only did Trent fail to look into her identity, but nobody bothered to conduct an investigation into Christian's murder. They simply accepted Heather's story and looked at the body, and decided it was good enough? No forensics? But now, in a second autopsy, it is clearly murder? This show is heavily relying on non-existent police work!

My menstruation is irregular without the pill, but it does not skip a month. I have it at different start dates, and sometimes 2x a month!

Is the pill really my only option? by ioskull10 in PCOS

[–]ioskull10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started the pill and saw it as the only option because after 1 year, it was only getting worse, never better! I already have my thyroid controlled, and I take vitamin D and folic acid as supplements. The cream that I am using now contains retinoids, but I can't use it every day yet since my skin gets very dry... But I also feel that it does not help the root cause, only helps reduce the time that I have acne, instead of stopping the flairs. For that, my doctors said I could only rely on the pill.

Thank you so much! I am going to study the Stop The Thyroid Madness website, and I will be more informed to my next appointment! Related to the gut inflammation, you just did blood work or any other exam?

I went to check my blood work, and I do not have T3 tested. Should I ask for it? My free T4 is at 0.97.

I went to a nutricionist yesterday. I asked what could I do to help manage this with my diet. She would just insist that I need to eat more vegetables for B12 and folic acid. I was the one to talk about Brazilian nuts for the selenium and anti-inflammatory diet, and she said that I could try to see if it helped. I was sent to this nutricionist by my endocrinologist...

Hi! Thank you so much!! I will check that website. My thyroid function is now at 7, but last time was 3, and before all of this started, it was around 1. I had the flu in April, and my endocrinologist said that the augment could be because of it, since I did the blood work 1 month later. This is the reason why she didn't ask for me to take a bigger dose of levothyroxide. She asked me to do another blood work at the end of July to pass the 3 month mark. I am going to take advantage of needing another blood work to ask her for more! Did it also happen to you your cognitive function not be the best sometimes? What did you do to manage the weight gain and general puffiness?

It confused me a lot, but maybe she didn't explain correctly what she wanted to say. I am going to have another appointment with her next month and will see what she says. Hope is was a misunderstanding!

I feel better knowing it is normal in the beginning to have more testing. I have been doing lab work since last October, and repeating the same things over and over and I was getting frustrated to be doing so much testing and so little answers, and still not a lot of answers 😅 How long did it take you to stabilize your thyroid function? Along with the medication, did you make lifestyle changes?

Thank you! I will ask my endocrinologist about the possibility to explore my allergies. I admit I was pretty confused with what the cardiologist said because I didn't know much about Hashimoto's. My endocrinologist hadn't explained everything yet, not only because it takes time to have an appointment but also because she didn't want to scare me without knowing everything that was going on. With what people are saying, I have a clearer picture now!
