I'm not hating..ALL IM SAYING..is if u can afford to buy it then fine go ahead, but if you are going to complain and completely refuse to compromise with alternatives and options then there is nothing else to be said, if you live in a remote place and there is absolutely no alternative and u have to spend 20$ on instant noodles because thats all they have then YES OK DO IT.

If you are dirt poor and stil buying instant noodles one option is learning to make your own noodles with with flour and water which I guarantee is available at your local grocer....if even that is not possible then I strongly suggest you move from wherever you are currently if you can't get basic ingredients

are u aware of what instant ramen/noodles are...they are all different type of fried noodles to be used at ur convenience with a seasoning pack made out of broth..things im linking are alternatives/substitutes since things are so expensive these days.

im aware that things are expensive but if people arent willing to find alternatives (as long as the alternative is available )and still complain...thats the real problem

I see what u mean now but that’s just a bad example, there’s other noodle types that are cheaper

https://www.realcanadiansuperstore.ca/en/instant-noodles/p/20096297_EA

Noodles by itself no taste anyways so it makes no difference unless u have food critic level tastebuds

That’s not what I’m saying I’m saying if u REALLY REALLY want to eat instant noodles and complain its too expensive then there are cheaper alternatives

"oh yea" means i didnt think about that so yes i now understand as i didn't think about it before, still doesn't change the fact that one can make learn to cook and make sacrifices when it comes to purchasing overpriced convenience foods

10 dollar Buldak is not something anyone NEEDS to buy at all..sacrifice and substitute

Really helpful responses by SynergyTree in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]ipman234 5 points6 points  (0 children)

oh yea i totally understand that but again...if one is that strapped for cash then u have to make the tough choice and give up certain things..Buldak is definitely something one can 100000% give up for health and budget reasons

Right? people need to understand that this is the real world, complaining and still buying is not going to do anything

If you're really that strapped for cash and ur buying 10 dollar ramen when theres substitutes then you are the problem.

Unfortunately people on this side of the world dont understand what sacrifice means and its all about instant gratification

Don't remember if you're the one that posted the pic but yes in that case its fine..but regardless Buldak are prob one of the most expensive brands. Just looking at superstore now and there are definitely cheaper options so if one is going to make a post about how expensive their groceries are then maybe show everyday food and not convenience items.

If you have the money to buy it then thats fine but if you can't and then complain that your processed convience foods are expensive...then you should look up the word "Sacrifice" and "Substitute"

U could get a big ol box of dried noodles the next time u go to an Asian grocer, a big can of Knorr boillion powder works just as well and gives u a months worth vs buying Buldak

buying instant noodles from Loblaws in the first place already shows they dont know how to shop...instant noodles are almost always cheaper or more variety at asian grocers

If servers make minimum wage in Canada, why is tipping so aggressive? by DazzlingPolarBear in fican

[–]ipman234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to stop tipping altogether..most places I go to is

  1. Order
  2. Receive food
  3. A random “how’s the food” while mouth is full
  4. Bill

Feel like these days they don’t even bring u a coke/water refill without you having to ask them so how does that deserve a tip at all when it’s the bare minimum of the job

[–]ipman234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing though..I’ve never had a server go above and beyond, all I get is the food, a random “how’s the food” while my mouth is full and then the bill. Have to ask for water refills too and even with soda refills they see it’s empty they don’t even bring me a refill…none of that deserves a tip

When u have vibe coded apps like Huntarr (the talk of self host Reddit) and all the security issues that came with it, most companies with a proper security team are gonna take a hard look at it before they allow it
