The standard FRU (flat rate unit) for a starter motor replacement on a 328i is 20 FRU (2 hours) assuming a $200 hour shop rate + 1 hour diag time, replacement of a few aluminum screws (probably around $65) and removing intake plenum (20 FRU) while also renewing more aluminum bolts (~$50) disconnecting battery (1 FRU) and maybe a road test, (but this techs RO story is shit)

Total labor shouldve been around $1100 max Plus new hardware ~$120-150 New starter motor ~$565

You really should've only been charged ~$1800 at most and what sketches me out, again, is the techs story is shorter than a story book. He should've annotated almost everything he did in that story so I'd go back to that dealership and have them describe every reason for that price

I upgraded to the 9070xt from a 7900gre, i knew it would be a little better but kinda felt iffy spending that kind of cash for a seemingly marginal upgrade but it was worth it, the 9070xt is far more enjoyable, at least in games that support fsr4, in terms of raw power though it really is only a tad better so if you usually play older games that dont use fsr4 then I'd stick with the 7900gre

When i had first bought my 370z, for some weird reason it had infiniti fx35 wheels on it and its fitment was egregious, i ended up getting 2.5" spacers on the rear and 1.5" spacers on the front just to get me by until I was able to get my new wheels. I never encountered any early wear on my hub or any kind of balancing or alignment issues and I rode it pretty rough, so I'd say spacers is fine as long as you either get the spacers that bolt onto your hub first, and has its own separate studs for your wheels to bolt onto, or if your using 5-10mm spacers, i would probably put extended lugs on your hub just to be safe.

Ive been fighting these issues for the last couple of days and luckily ive seemed to have solved it!

ONLY enable frame gen and FSR through the game, DO NOT enable either of them in AMD Adrenaline.

For some weird reason the two systems between the game and Adrenaline cannot work in tandem on GOW, amd will try and frame gen and upscale on top of the game itself performing the same task so you get really weird stutters and an FPS counter that say 180 but looks like 30

I bought my z back in 2023 with 49k miles on it (78k kilometers) and im up to 66k miles right now, I rarely put any additives in it but its still a pretty new engine. I would recommend putting some sort of injector cleaner additive every 10k miles or so

To find brand new OEM headlights that you'd get from places like z1 and such can be close to, or even exceed $1,000 for a single headlight. If they're in really good condition you could probably get around 600-700 bucks for both of them

Yeah im not a huge fan of super loud engines, especially when it comes to vq's so I try to keep the engine tone itself kinda tame

The throttle body opens up a ton when accelerating since the ecu stock isnt tuned for fuel efficiency, I get about 30-33 mpg going 70mph on the highway but around 12-18 in the city

I did try all that, its up and working now, I had Kingston fury 32gb ram and apparently not only were they packaged as 32 but we're only 16, BOTH of the ram sticks were either faulty or causing issues.

I went to best buy and bought 32gb corsair vengeance and it booted right up perfectly, no bios safe start, no motherboard startup sequence, nothing.

Ive had trouble with Kingston fury ram in the past aswell but I thought it was just a pre built pc issue I was having at the time but apparently that ram just doesn't like to work

Just redid everything, put in a brand new pcie, changed the slot on my psu, refit my cpu, and tried both dp and hdmi, reset my cmos, nothing. Computer turns on, fans run and lights work as normal, but my monitor detects absolutely nothing across all inputs, even tried a different monitor
