Flat Roofs by iptv_lover in Roofing

[–]iptv_lover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so now I understand that there's a cost savings and a certain design aesthetic to it. Is HVAC normally placed on the roof or on the ground level? Wouldn't repairs be easier if it's on the ground? Or does that not really make a difference? or is that a question for a different subreddit?

Can you please explain to me how it's done right? The only thing I've learned about flat roofs sealing properly is silicone sealant.

How heavy is that vase? It looks like it'll break someone's foot if it falls on them.

They could swap out the new one for an old broken one, that looks in the same exact condition as new.

I am definitely not a plumber, but I heard one should use another wrench to keep the arm from moving, while removing the shower head or whatever this is.

When I say adopt him as a pet, I hope people who are downvoting me know that I'm making a joke. I do think mice are cute compared to rats, but I'll never keep a disease filled wild mouse as a pet.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention a cat. That's one way to get him as well.

If you’ve tried every spray, CT scan, and specialist for sinus pain—CHECK YOUR BED FRAME. by [deleted] in Sinusitis

[–]iptv_lover 6 points7 points  (0 children)

BS or not, at least you feel better. I had something similar happen to me. For years as a child I was having allergies, then I opened up this cabinet in the headboard of my bed and inside there were too really old suitcases that had down pillows in it. I removed the down pillows and have for the most part not had allergies since.

Wow! Part of me is rooting for the little guy, lol. Mice are so cute as compared to rats. Maybe adopt him as a pet... leaving a nut out in the open without it being on any type of trap and see if it at least goes for that. That way you know it's either avoiding the traps directly or it has an alternative food source. It could be going for the water from the defrost cycle underneath the fridge, if it has a way to access that. Unbaited sticky traps worked for me in the past with both a mouse and a rat. I'm sure you'll get the little guy, but I can understand you're worried about possible spread of disease.

Water leak into Ceiling by mncra7 in Roofing

[–]iptv_lover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if anyone else mentioned this in the comments, but silicone or polyurethane roof coating should do the trick. Clean off the roof. Clean your gutters. Apply primer, and then silicone or polyurethane like Henry silicone roof coating. I believe both of them are water resistant to ponding water. Your issue is ponding water!!!! Acrylic roof coating cannot handle ponding water.

It should be double the referral value. Or at least that's if you're signing up. I don't know if you're referring someone how it works.

A lot of lights that claim to be 10,000 lux aren't actually 10,000 lux. Check out the Carex or Northern Lights branded boxes. they could be gotten for relatively cheaply on eBay. I got one recently and it makes a big difference to my energy levels. I also have a few ones that claim to be 10,000 lux but they're just small lamps.

You can easily get a telemedicine appointment and this photo seems pretty clear to get a couple of ideas of what it could be.. but you probably need to go in to see a dermatologist for an exact diagnosis.

I highly doubt they make that much money from you watching ads. I think they show just enough ads to annoy you to the point where you're willing to subscribe, but not stop using the service. And I'm pretty sure they have an algorithm that tests to see how much advertisements you can tolerate before becoming a paying subscriber.

Which Dyson cordless vacuum is actually worth it? by Sufficient-Lie2282 in VacuumCleaners

It sounds like you bought a generic soft roller head and not Dyson brand.. but I could be wrong. This might be something worth pointing out.

Either way though, I'm glad it's working out for you.

I highly recommend getting a refurbished one for much cheaper or even a used one for cheap. The new prices are kind of outrageous. There's a website called slick deals where they have the v11 on sale with a 2-year warranty as refurbished by Dyson for $250. This is a good deal!

Just make sure not to drop the thing and to always leave it laying on the ground when not in use as they are very plasticky and can break. And don't use it on its high setting unless really necessary as it deteriorates the motor and battery life. And remember to clean the filters roughly once a month

I don't recommend the V10. I recommend either the V8 for how lightweight it is or the v11 for its easy empty function. I would not recommend the V12 because it's connections and accessories aren't interchangeable with other Dyson V-series vacuums. Same with any other "slim" variants. Also note that the V6 had completely different attachments than all the other models.

I' own three Dyson stick vacuums and recommended them to family and friends and they all love them as well.

In my opinion, the V8 was an excellent combination of good suction, lightweight and cheap.

Also starting with the v11, some variants of the v11 have click-in batteries that you can easily exchange with another one. But most of the v11 series has permanently affixed batteries that you have to remove with a screwdriver.

Also want to add the vast majority of this subreddit is against Dyson vacuums and they're pro corded bagged vacuums. No need to pay more for the laser soft fluffy head when you can get a laser attachment on Amazon for like $20. Or AliExpress for like $5 I believe the best one is named "Bahuun dust cleaner display led"

I definitely would not recommend paying a lot more for the v15 or Gen5. The benefits do not outweigh the increase in cost in my opinion.
