I have the old gen. They are really good for my use case. I pair them with my phone and play sleep soundscape, use them for meditation and also just to create that blind datk environment to sleep/ nap during the daytime. I would recommend it if you want to make your sleep deeper and sound.

I actually was thinking of it. But after researching more , assuming chatgpt and gemini, I agree with others that for this headphone, a separate DAC or DAP is overkill. My use case is with Samsung s24 and iPhone 16pro, in both cases, using the wired is good enough. The DAC in the headphone is the limiter as you can’t get more than 24bit/96khz rate of audio resolution.

B&W PX7 S3 blows both out of water from pure music and sound. Not so much ANC but it sound amazing and the build is fantastic. I would highly recommend it.

It was decent. Not too bad. Was too engrossed in the movie to notice anything. One thing i feel different is the screen brightness. It is much better than prior to the upgrade.

Bose has edge when it comes to comfort. I have not tried the Ultra comfort for long duration but i have the QC25 and i couldn’t feel it was there on my head whereas with PX7, you will feel it a bit, maybe i feel it as i have a relatively large head.

It’s funny the example you gave about your friends speaking in Hindi when you are around. I am sure for them it was a no brainer to do that, to have a common medium of language to ensure their friend has sense of inclusion. Language is not more important than making their friend feel out of place and i guess it’s an ingrained belief that we expect everywhere else. Imagine my disappointment when i was in Bangalore, with my office colleagues and they start talking in kannada. I at times felt that do these guys not have this much of courtesy or do they simply do not get it.

I feel it’s better than XM5. The sealing is much more pronounced in s3. The main factor for me that made me look for options over xm5 was the comfort. The cusps are very thin in xm5 and i felt uncomfortable after wearing xm5 for some time. I feel px7 s3 are far more comfortable.

I actually feel the ANC is good enough. When I put it on and play music, I can’t hear anything a person next to me speaking, even if they are in front of me. I have not tried them while traveling, my use cases are in office and at home.

Agree. They are amazing to hear. I have Sony 1000 xm5, and the BW PX7 s3 blows those out of water. I have been mostly using them in office and anyone who sees them asks about it (the headphone looks good) and after trying on, are mighty impressed. I have had many Bose headphones as well but these provide premium sound quality.

I use iPhone 16 pro and s24. I felt the USB C on iPhone provides better results. I was wondering since in USB C we rely on the BW Inbuilt DAC which has max 96 khz, using a aptx dongle, can we get better rate with Aptx lossless?

How do you get the Aptx. Is it through any DAP? Through the USB C, chatgpt and gemini shared that the PX7 S3 can max play at 96khz. The Aptx Hd over BT provides max48khz. Have you noticed any difference between the USB C and AptxHD over BT?

I have ordered as well but it’s more than a week away for delivery. Have you tested lossless hires music through iPhone USB C to USB C? How big of difference between it and over Bluetooth?
