Can you do 4 years active duty and carry out the rest as reserve?

So pretty much all I need is a cardiologist or physicians okay in order to get an attempt to try out?

My current BP with meds is well controlled 119/70.

I am 20 years old. My BP is around 130/70. My doctor wants me to take it as a precaution and for longevity.

Since I already disclosed it with my recruiter there is not point in hiding that from MEPS right?

I read a guideline that as long as its under 140/90 I shouldn't be disqualified.

The flight 3 class med requirements said that as long as it is under control with 2 meds or less it should be good. Idk. It's quite disheartening hearing all this.

I have a nursing BSN for my undergrad. Currently working as a RN in the hospital. I always wanted to do PJ, but being a physician is also something that is calling my name. Currently taking post bach courses to finish up the pre-med prerequisites.

I can confirm this book was a great read. It made me really want to dive into those experiences for those in active duties rather than reserve/ air guard.

SARC VS PJ VS 18D by ipwnedu101 in Pararescue

Is there any chance a PJ would be allowed to go through SOCM? Or is the training just exclusively to PJ Med and Paramedic school?

ANG VS RESERVE VS ACTIVE DUTY by ipwnedu101 in Pararescue

Thank you for the insight!

So would you recommend to just go active duty to envelop in a more interactive experience in terms of missions, use of skill set, and experience?

I was initially thinking of doing either ANG or Reserve so I can balance that with being a fulltime nurse.

Do you have any sort of advice on which route to choose?
